Are you kidding me!? 😍😍😍
LSF creates story-driven films for couples and small businesses. HEY THERE! I’M LYDIA! I’m a wedding videographer. BUT YOUR STORY? THAT’S TIMELESS, FRIEND.
(20)
But my goal is NOT to create pretty wedding video. Hair styles and decor and even video styles will all look outdated in ten years. THAT is what will be a treasure that can be passed on for generations. THAT is what you can come back to on your hardest days. If I’m just making you a pretty wedding video, I’m wasting your money. This film can be your North Star to bring you back home to each other
when times are hard and to celebrate and with each other when times are good. When your story drives your wedding film, your film is timeless.
Are you kidding me!? 😍😍😍
In honor of Veteran’s Day, enjoy this photo of Baby Josh and Baby Lydia from basic training graduation in 2010 🥹
Happy Veterans Day to my other half and all the others who serve ❤️
Seven years ago, I had a few classes to go before I wrapped up my associates and completed all my prereqs to apply for nursing school.
While I was going to school, I started a little side business as a birth photographer and videographer. I fell so in love with it that it seemed a little nuts to give all that up to follow a more traditional path so I took the risk.
Seven years later, I am so glad I did. Thank you to the people who booked me and mentored me when I was new. And thank you to the people who still book me and mentor me today. I am so grateful for the role you have all played in this incredibly fulfilling business.

We had the most perfect day with Ashley and Dave ✨💖
Have you ever wondered why I offer raw footage? Honestly, raw footage makes me look bad 🤷🏼♀️ It is often shakey and out of focus. Usually I’m scream singing in the background.
Your highlight film is polished and beautiful and cinematic and tells your story. It’s a priceless heirloom.
But, tell me, in 20 years, if that’s all that you’ll want. Or if this clip will be something you treasure, just as much as your highlight.
Raw footage is important, friends. These moments are worth keeping.
If you need me, I’ll be counting the days till May 12. 🥰
I’m editing away on Jillian and Todd’s beautiful outdoor wedding and couldn’t resist giving you all a sneak peak. Full highlight coming VERY soon! 🥰

Family, friends, and other vendors. If you’re trying to take video/photos of the couple during key moments, please be super mindful of where you’re standing! Odd are very high that if you can see the cameras, they can see you! Thanksssss 😘😘😘
Am I the only one that opens up social media without even realizing I’m doing it?? I don’t want to fully block the apps because I often need to use them for whatever I’m working on, but I DO want to be sure I’m intentional about why I’ve opened the app. Downloading OneSec has changed the game for me! #springfieldil #entrepreneur #smalbiz #adhdentrepreneur #productivityhacks
PLEASE CAPTION YOUR VIDEOS! If the auto captions aren’t working, here’s a trick to get them to work 99% of the time! Are you captioning your stories? Have you ever run into this error? And if not, what’s keeping you from captioning?
This tender moment between Emma and her dad on her wedding day has me in a puddle 🫠 @ehicks95_ if I’m crying through this edit, you have to be too 😭😂

My best sparkler tips: ✨ Get long burning sparklers. Traditional sparklers only give you maybe 20 seconds from the time you get the first one lit to the time they run out. Having a longer burn-time makes the experience SO MUCH less frantic, MORE fun, and gives you more variety in your photos and video. BONUS: The longer sparklers allow the sparklers to be held up high and away from your hair/dress ✨ Speaking of “lit,” I recommend faking your sparkler exit earlier in the evening before your guests are all pretty tipsy. We LOVE beautiful photos/video but it’s so important to do it SAFELY. When your guests are still sober, the whole experience is faster, easier, and safer and less like herding drunk cats. ✨Speaking of herding cats, to keep things smooth and low-stress, I always recommend ONLY bringing out your key people— your wedding party and your close family. It’s so much easier and faster to coordinate a group of 20 people than a group of 200. This means you’ll get your footage and then get back on the dance floor! ✨ Finally, BRING EXTRA LIGHTERS! I’m talking 6-8 lighters. Sparklers can be tricky to get started and you want to light them all as quickly as possible so they are all burning for the same amount of time. Overall, with some planning, sparkler exits can be a GREAT addition to your photos/video and to the overall vibe of your day! Wedding vendors, do you have any other great tips? Couples, are you planning to do an exit? Did any of these tips surprise you?P.S. I just noticed the captions didn’t load! So sorry!
Don’t be afraid to go a little non traditional on your wedding day! Your reception is YOUR party. 🤠🤠🤠
