This project is an idea that my six year old son, Tyler, and I have created so that we can share values that children face every day as they grow up. We are taking these values and blending them with the Choose Your Own Adventure style of book while delivering them on the iPad as an interactive iBook. Where did he get the idea? Tyler came up with the value of poor sport after having a problem with
a friend who came to his house to play with his new games he got for Christmas. His friend was not as good as he was at the game and got really angry and mean when he lost. We are using that experience as the foundation for this story. Why do we need these stories? Tyler wants to share these stories with our two year old son, Devin, as he grows up. Even at this early age we can tell he is going to need them! Devin is one of those children who has no fear and is a force to be reckoned with already. Tyler wants to protect Devin and feels it is his duty as the older brother to help on his journey. We hope you will share them with your children as well. You can watch your child make decisions and discuss why they chose that path and help them develop their moral compass for the next journey. What Tyler would do with the money from any book sales.
+ Get a metal detector so that he can find old buried treasures.
+ Put money in his and his brother's 529 Plan. Tyler wants to go to college to learn how to be a meteorologist, he is fascinated by weather and watches it every morning on the news and reports to us what to expect for the day.
+ Help keep his mom home so that she doesn't have to work outside the home to be available to him and his brother while they are going to school.
