Consider walking through the season of Lent with Bach's moving oratorio, St. Matthew Passion.
"Lent begins on Ash Wednesday with the collective remembrance of our temporal existence and need for repentance and ends on Holy Saturday just before Easter Sunday. Woven into Lent is Holy Week (also called Passion week) and the Paschal Triduum.
