Here are the explanation of the clues for our 10th “Seeker of the Keeper” Scavenger Hunt! 

🚨Seeker of the Keeper Clue Explanations from Wichita Famous 🚨

1. The video was taken at The Depot and filmed outside. This area was originally known as the Rock Island Depot and the railroad connected Wichita and Haysville. This is also a hint the Keeper is “outside” of Wichita.

2. 1009 sq miles is the area of Sedgwick County, not Wichita. “Target” & “Fade” are golf references. The graphic was also green and referred the coveted jacket. The coveted green jacket is awarded in the Masters tournament. The Keeper was hidden on a disc GOLF course. 

3. The first picture clue is of the Albatross VI sculpture. Albatross is a term used in both golf and disc golf, meaning a score of three strokes under par on a single hole.

4. Although Peerless Princess of the Plains is an old nickname of Wichita. “Almost Peerless” meaning not Wichita. Additionally, W.W. Hays believed Haysville was destined to be the “Peerless Princess of the Plains” but fell short.

5. The second picture clue included the sign for Cohlmia Marketing. Cohlmia Park is across the street from Riggs Park.

6. “Nobody does it like” is a reference to the Sara Lee slogan. Riggs Park is located on Sarah Lane.

7. The third picture clue is of a peach pie. Haysville is the Peach Capitol of Kansas.

8. “Work and Play 9 to 5” is a reference to the fact that Sedgwick count has five 9-hole disc golf courses and Riggs Park is one of the 5.

9. The fourth picture clue highlights the Lethal Weapon characters (Riggs and Murtaugh) one who shares a name with the park.
