Our last shows together... and that's today!

I hope you take a moment to celebrate Shane Ewing KAKE with us. While his last show is 9 a.m. Wednesday (and we will have some bittersweet moments to share then,) this is the final one that Frank Waugh, CBM KAKE, Shane and I will share together.

This is a photo we snapped almost two years ago, when I stepped into this role as weekday morning anchor. It's been a dream to be a part of the KAKE News team. It's where my husband and I interned about 20 years ago, and I feel beyond blessed to share it with these two guys. We've had a special time together.

Frank and I were running in similar circles in high school, as some of you know, from our public speaking competition days. We three have kids around the same age, and we've been at the station for relatively the same amount of time.

Though a bummer, I'm excited to see Shane rock a new career at Edward Jones. He's going to be a super star for them.

Thank you, KAKEland, for welcoming us into your homes. It's been pretty remarkable to see your dream come true.

I now have one week remaining in my time at KAKE. But today was the last show I get to work with Brooklinn Rae KAKE. It’s because of talent like her’s that I know KAKE News will keep going strong long after I am gone. So thankful I got to know her and laugh as much as we did. She was also such a huge supporter for me as I tried to navigate entering the financial industry. Can’t thank you enough, Brooklinn!
