Last friday doing live mix at Wicn's Emerging Artist Series was a fun gig! Rick McCarthy and talent from Holy Cross called "Korde's Cats". Rhiannon, Mat, Jesse, and Koe sounded great and the audience enjoyed it a lot! On the tech side I think Im close enough to -14LUFS to say I met my loudness target! Anyone care to say if it was loud enough?? ;-)

Regis College: This room is a pretty balanced room and is really dead. You can stand at the back of the stadium seating and completely understand the spoken word from the stage. Impressive. I captured many years of choral concerts in this room. The mic array you see here is based on ''The Faulkner Array''. Basically Iv added the ORTF pair in the middle to give me options. Steven F was severally critisized for coming up with this, but ya know what, It really sounds amazing and has so many mix options. Have used it for many years.

Way back in March 2022. WPI choir at the church. Capturing the event with the ole' F8 which along with the mics Im using sounds pretty good. Location recording and production for your live event!

Until recently I was using a Soundcraft LX7ii desk to do live mix for the Friday Shows. This desk was actually pretty good. It lacked the typical mix and mastering processing that Im used to. Definitely made you work hard!

Another WCMS concert at the JMAC! Nice to see another audience enjoying some great players and music. This room, The Brick Box sounds really good for this type of music. Very clear but a bit on the dry side. If you've listened to this, tell what you thought about the dynamic range!

I tracked with Crocodile River Music in there room. What a great time and all the players were especially good! Love the grooves! Very addicting music! I constantly heard it in my head while I worked on there project! I found myself rocking back and forth all the time! Combs is a great guy to work with! I wish I had taken more picts!

Mackie Axis System on the corp gig. Im really liking this mix system. Very fast. Go anywhere with 1 or 2 buttons. Of course all the ipads dont hurt! ;-)

Worcester Chamber Music Society's event at "Beaumont at Worcester " was another streaming event! Great players - Great Music! If you like live classical music definitely check them out! Looks like I missed the LUFS target of -16db LUFS eh? But just by a bit... (ya i realize the meter is set for -14, but I like -16, it gives ya a bit more dynamics!)

Mixing live for Noah Preminger and his gang at 90.5 WICN Studio 50 was a great time! I'v mixing a bunch of live events at WICN's Studio 50, a very nice live room! Great players! If you have a chance to catch him play, you'll enjoy it!!!
