Tonight is New Year’s Eve, and if you feel inclined to drive after celebrating – don’t. The state’s Booze It and Lose It campaign is underway. Highway Patrol and local law enforcement are conducting sobriety checkpoints on both major and secondary roads to cut down on impaired driving. If you have indulged too much, please catch a ride.

Don’t be in the headlines tomorrow.

CALL TO ACTION!

🌟 Help Us Spread Warmth This Winter 🌟

The Columbus County Sheriff’s Office is proud to support those in need during these colder months. Our Chaplain, Kevin Taylor, will soon be making a trip to Western North Carolina to deliver much-needed camping-sized propane tanks. These tanks are being used for heat and cooking, providing vital support for families in need.

We’re calling on our community to come together and make a difference! If you’re able and willing to help, we are accepting donations of camping-sized propane tanks at the Columbus County Sheriff’s Office.

📅 Donations will be accepted until January 12th.
📍 Drop-off Location: Columbus County Sheriff's Office

Let’s show the true strength of our community by supporting this important cause. Together, we can make a real impact and help keep families warm and fed during these challenging months.

Thank you for your generosity and kindness! 💙
