Begun in 1987 as a caterer in Urbanna, has now grown to also be a waterfront Restaurant serving in our location in White Stone, Virginia. Our Cafe' has become a popular eatery in Lancaster County, drawing people from surrounding towns of Irvington, Kilmarnock, and Lively. Our Cafe' began in 1992 and we added our Coffee Shop in April of 2008. Unfortunately, on February 11, 2010, a fire, originating

in the attic, engulfed our location. We relocated to 327 Old Ferry Road in White Stone. Our Cater division has served many diverse parties though out the Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula as well as the entire state of Virginia. We service Corporate Picnics, Family Reunions, Weddings, Fund Raisers, Promotional Events as well as many other types of social and group gatherings. We serve Upscale Galas and Backyard Barbecues with Casual Elegance. For the past three years, we have been voted the number one caterer in eastern Virginia by the readers of the Virginia Living Magazine. Willaby's Cafe' is open for lunch Friday and Saturday, 11-3, Dinner Wednesday through Saturday 5 till 8. Come in and try our new menu items. We opened our doors in August 1992 and have grown each year since relying heavily on an excellent staff and a splash here and there of our Fine Sauces. We now serve Lunch and Dinner. At the lower end of the Northern Neck of Virginia lies the county of Lancaster and at the lower end of Lancaster lies Willaby's Restaurant in the town of White Stone. So you might say we're pretty far down there. Willaby's was a consistent Live Music venue every Thursday and Friday Night. Thursday Night followed a format we call Performers on the Rise that showcases local Northern Neck and Middle Peninsula talent. On Friday we had what we called Friday Night Live where we bring in talented, seasoned musicians from not only Virginia but also the entire Mid-Atlantic region. Through careful attention to enhancing acoustics and a high-quality house music system, our venue has become a favorite spot for live music for concert goers from throughout eastern Virginia. We look forward to serving music with our great food and beverages again when it is safe to do so.

P0KE BOWL is back!

Edamame, fresh sliced avocado, pickled radishes, seaweed, rice, pickled cabbage, fresh spring mix, sliced English cucumbers all topped with sushi grade tuna tossed in Unagi Tare.

This will be on our feature menu until cooler weather prevails.

Justice Goldstar Duo will be providing our musical entertainment from 2:00 until 5:00. This is a project featuring Beth Justice and Lee Goldstar. Beth's other project, Sweet Justice, has been performing for decades and has thrilled fans at major venues and opened for national acts. Lee plays lead guitar with Beth in that project and the two of them have been developing quite a following with just the two of them on stage.

And oh, have you checked out our awesome koozies? We have them for sale in our dining room as well as on our beach. Folks have picked up most of them, we still have a couple of dozen left, Get em fore they're gone!

We have a change in our musical performance this week. Tom Euler contacted us earlier and unfortunately he is under the weather and not able to perform Sunday. Happily, the wonderful Duo of Slow Burn has stepped up to keep the wonderful live music rolling!

Oyster shell cycling.

One of my favorite sites of our Rappahannock view is watching the watermen piloting their workboats.

Recently we got to watch the Richard Lee from Ophelia planting oyster shell for the Little Wicomico Oyster Company.

This boat was built in 1979 at Jenning’s Marine Railway in Fairport, Va., by legendary boatwrights Raymond Bray, Jay Barrett, Henry B. Smith and Sam Keeve, all well-known Northern Neck builders. Recently The Richard Lee was refurbished and a fiberglass skin applied to her wooden structure. She was refitted for oyster shell replenishment which is the necessary cycling of waste shells to create reefs for oyster larvae to settle on. When done properly, these structures quickly get covered in living oysters, which in turn attracts other species.

There has been a shortage of oyster shells in recent years due to many factors.

We fresh shuck our 1/2 shell raw and CharGrilled Oysters 🦪. We save all shells and deposit them in our local recycling center. We use none for decorating, mulching or road maintenance. Our local recycling center is the VCU Rice Center

Drop-Off Location in the Lancaster County Waste Transfer station on
White Pine Road (VHS 788) just about a mile south of Kilmarnock off route 200. There are many recycling stations throughout the state.

As you enjoy a few fresh shucks this fall, have some friends over for an oyster roast, etc., please save your shells and drop them off at a local recycling station.

As our friends at Rice's center say, "Don't Chuck that Shuck"!

Out of an abundance of caution, we have decided to postpone our weekly beach party until tomorrow, Monday, Labor Day.

We are sorry for any disappointments but we take the safety of our guests, staff, and musicians very seriously. The probability of lightning is far too dangerous.

Our Italian sub is back! On feature today. Lunch only!
Capicola, Pepperoni, Salami and Applewood Smoked Honey Ham serve hot, covered with provolone. Topped with banana peppers and Italian dressing on a white sub roll.

Wide open Wednesday through Saturday. Serving lunch and dinner all day from 11:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m. Beach parties every Sunday, weather permitting, 1:00 to 6:00 with live music 2 to 5.

Firestone Walker Parabola

After 7 years of relentless pursuit, i finally scored a keg of perhaps the most iconic beer of all time.... 2 years ago.

In 2022, Firestone Walker Brewing Co. released their annual Parabola, aged for a year in 12-year-old Heaven Hill bourbon barrels for the first time ever. We scooped up a rare barrel and stashed it in our cellar for proper aging. Two and a half years later, she's on our draft system, being pushed by 70/30 CO2/Nitro for a perfect pour.

Persistence pays off, and patience makes it even better! Come enjoy an immensely broad and deep barrel-aged Russian imperial stout. A crazy anomaly in our little piece of heaven that won't last long.
