"15 Seconds to Calm: The Power of Deep Breathing"

In a busy world, it’s easy to overlook one of the simplest tools for relaxation—your breath. Just 15 seconds of deep breathing can reset your mind and body, bringing calm and clarity.

The 15-Second Breathing Technique

1. Get Comfortable: Sit or stand in a relaxed position.

2. Inhale: Slowly breathe in through your nose for 5 seconds, letting your belly expand.

3. Hold: Pause for 2 seconds.

4. Exhale: Release the breath gently through your mouth for 8 seconds.

Repeat as needed to feel tension melt away.

Popcorn is the same everywhere—the kernels themselves don’t change. That’s because it’s all about framing and environment even though the popcorn itself is identical.

🔄 What does this teach us?

💡If a large popcorn can be worth $1 at home but $20 at an amusement park, it shows how value depends on context. Perhaps the same is true for how you value yourself—your worth may change based on where you are or who you’re with, but it doesn’t mean your intrinsic value is any less

💡 Maybe it’s time to think about your environment: If you are feeling undervalued, it could be a sign that you're in the wrong place. Sometimes, a change in environment is all it takes to unlock your true worth.

The holidays bring joy, but they often leave our homes feeling a little crowded! If you’re ready to clear some space and start the new year fresh, here are 10 ways to declutter effectively:

1️⃣ Donate to Charitable Organizations
Share the holiday spirit by giving to organizations that help others:

GreenDrop - They will come and pick up your donations at your house.

Goodwill - Easy to drop off and they take most home items

Check out local church thrift shops in your area for more donation options!

2️⃣ Sell Online
Turn your clutter into cash! List items on:

Facebook Marketplace - You can sell just about anything)

eBay - Post items you are looking to make a little money on.

Poshmark - You can sell clothing and other items here.

3️⃣ Host a Yard Sale
If the weather is good and you’re able, gather items you no longer need and host a yard sale to give them a new home.

4️⃣ Adopt the “One In, One Out” Rule
For every new gift you received, let go of an old one by donating or recycling.

5️⃣ Recycle Responsibly
Dispose of broken electronics, used wrapping paper, and damaged decorations properly. Many towns have recycling drop-off centers—check with your local government for details.
