Y'all, let me just tell ya.
Applying for employment these days is NO JOKE. This is what I have learned from looking for employment for 4 months and a resume' professional...yes! I actually paid for this service; didn't see that coming.
To PROPERLY update your resume and apply for positions you now need to tweek said resume' for EACH job you are applying. Why you ask? I'm glad you ask, because 4 months ago I didn't know.
Here's why:
1. it's all online
2. 65% of resumes ARE NOW READ BY AI. To get your resume read by this AI you need 5 optimal verbs that correlate to the position you are apply. Yep, and that is JUST to get to Human Resources hands.
If you are on LinkedIn you need a perfect profile picture, headline, about section, etc..
Y'all, this is NO JOKE.
Fun fact...when you are 52, you SHOULD NOT put
-the year you graduated in any form. Which is odd to me, but it "dates you" You are safe if you are 45 or younger
-Put the true number of years experience you have...
-also "dates you"... they make it sound like it's carbon dating!!
-You should only put your experience for the last 15 years. So if you have more than 15 years, SO IA DOES NOT KICK YOU OUT, You must now put "15+" as experience.
But mannnnn, I have 16 years experience in retail, with my last five years as an Area manger with over 8.5 million in volume and 140 employees. Buttttt I can't list that, you know why,
BECAUSE IT AGES ME.
Places officially can not tell you that you were not hired due to age, because that is discrimination. But you know what, that's also a bunch of horse crap, because it happens.
*16 years of retail experience with the last 5 years in upper management.
*17 year as a state licensed daycare. NO, I did not "baby sit"
*10 years owning a Character Entertainment business and acting as a Party Coordinator to only recently be asked:
if I had customer service experience, phone experience, filing experience....the best one...if I knew how to count change. SERIOUSLY!

Let me tell you about my Jesus!
Longish read from a momma with ADHD, little sleep, and just drank an energy drink 🤪🤪, but hopefully worth it.
Anyone who knows me, especially since Minnie decided to a"pause" my hormones 🤪 knows I'm not the most patient person, EXCEPT with kiddos 18mon-6yrs. (These kiddos I have LOTS of patience with) I will ask for something to be done, firmly remind once, and if it's not done, then I'm not too happy that I was ignored. 😳
But I'm working on it.. lots of deep breaths. Also, if you know me, I am HYPER, especially if I've had a can of pop...annoyingly happy and HYPER. And finally, Im a Type A personality. I like being the leader, I like the planning for A, B and back up plan C. WITH ALL THAT SAID... I'm not real good with "being still and knowing I am God." Being still for me is the 7 minutes in bed right before I crash🤣
Again, I AM WORKING ON IT.
Here's my last 5 days...
Emma Whitely needed her wisdom teeth out, like NOW because they HURT and she's heading to Costa Rica in 17 days. We're at the oral surgeon last Friday morning.... normally it takes a month or more to get surgery scheduled...
"We JUST had a cancelation.. do you want next Tues"... YES!
"Your co-pay is $408"
My mind goes into overdrive. That's 4 days to come up with $400. 😳😳 How do IIIiiiii do this. I LITERALLY made myself stop, took a breath, said a prayer, asking God to lead me, putting my faith he would make a way for this. Within 2 hrs, I booked $405 in parties! I told Jim, Emma, Clayton, Jacob, and friends about this. I was AMAZED! Not that God HAS to prove he's there, but he made the CHOICE to show me he was with me.
YESTERDAY.... driving home from Gallipolis party.... my transmission just quit working, on the highway, Semi-trucks everywhere. (I'm scared of semis after being hit by one) Just vvvrrrrmmmmm sound, but no go. 😭😭😭😭 Pull off on the burm.
Trying not to freak, I called Jim, walked him through what just happened, started looking in my trunk for transmission fluid. And you know what I did. I PRAYED!!! "God, I'm really going to need your help here, please be with us" Still on the phone with Jim Whitely , I'm going over with him what sounds I was hearing, etc and with a gut feeling, tried shifting....WE MOVED!!! And a gas station..a big one was 2.6 miles down the road. Y'all, we drove on "Jesus Juice" to that gas station, where I, you guessed it, lost the ability to move the car again right after pulling in a parking spot! Pop the hood, and I have transmission fluid sprayed everywhere inside my car. Okayyyyyyy....well, we are 35 miles from home. I put 1.5 containers in the car, got 2 more just in case AND DROVE HOME....BUT! right before we're home, on Dogwood Ridge, coming from the C-store direction, right past Bussey rd, right up the rd from our drive, in the curve, you know, where WE CAN GET HIT...vrrrmmmmm...no go. Seriouly... right before the drive 🤦‍♀️
Took a breath, literally OUTLOUD said "God, just a little more, just let us drive a little more so we aren't hit" And you know what, put it in gear, and I not only got to the main drive, but down my gravel drive, up my little hill into my drive. One of my cast said, "wow, that was some really good luck"
I replied "no, that's Jesus! This was a God thing" ❤️❤️❤️✋️✋️
And finally, as I'm sitting here a little nervous at Emma's wisdom teeth being removed, even though I know God has her, its taken me almost this whole time to type this, to tell you "God's got this" that has kept me not worrying 😉

The Easter Bunny is coming to homes!!
During this "pop-in" time for 15 minutes the Easter Bunny will hide 1/2 dozen eggs in your yard to be "caught" by your kids. While he's there you can take unlimited pictures and video 😁

🐰🐰Mileage must be 20 miles or less.
