Staples Television Network

Founded in 2009 the Staples Television Network broadcasts live school Sports, News & Events over the Westport's local Cablevision Channel 78, on the radio as WWPT 90.3FM as well as online at STN78.com. The Network has 3 Main Branches:

STN Sports: This branch covers Staples athletics, broadcasting almost every home game, of every major team, with 4 cameras, live graphics, and play by play & color

commentary. Taped shows like FCIAC Football Weekly give perspective on the entire FCIAC conference reaching beyond just Staples athletics. STN Entertainment: This branch televises live, in studio concerts, on its flagship bi-weekly show; Live From the Media Lab. In addition STN Entertainment broadcasts the Staples Music Department's Annual Candlelight Concert, the school's largest concert of the year. STN News & Politics: On the Trail with Eric Gallanty, a weekly Political show, interviewing local politicians and candidates is this branches signature series. However, it reached new heights when it broadcasted full election night coverage from dusk until dawn in the 2010 midterm elections.
