I haven’t gone to this training nor do I know too much about it officially but it sounds like how I teacher phonics to littles.

And what if you have to do it all tomorrow in order to even be able to step foot in a classroom with your class on the first day of school?
And what if it could take WEEKS for the system to update and let you see your curriculum and your class list?
How would uh how would cope with all of that. Because I’m gonna be honest I’m not even the slightest surprised or affected and it’s sad that even after taking leave I am NUMB to the nonsense that is my district.
Loved getting an email today at 4:45pm from the same HR person I talked to in August of last year and again this June welcoming me back with a laundry list of things I need to run around and get done before tomorrow.

Well🤪 Today was great… and hard😂
That day during prep week where you empty out all of your cabinets and closets and just stare at it all on the carpet and floor and tables except it was on steroids with a mountain of boxes to unload.
I’ll count my blessings though being a new prek class and getting so much stuff to have to sift through. But dang that was a lot of boxes.
Left feeling defeated and buried and like I didn’t even go through my own stuff yet.
Still don’t have a desk or access to two very important systems for my district AND I have to go to a meeting all day tomorrow.
I’m tired yall 😂
HOW WAS YOUR DENIAL DAY?
Great unrealistic expectations for my diet for the year ✅
Look at old pictures for two hours ✅
Pot plants for no reason ✅
Shove the remainder of garage storage things into my car✅
Pretend it’s summer in a hammock ✅
Cannot believe we are here. Cannot believe tomorrow Brody goes to “school.” Cannot believe that my leave is up.
SO INSTEAD of accepting it I had a good old fashioned DENIAL DAY.
