V***e Clicquot (1777 - 1866) was one of the first female entrepreneurs... against all odds, with the loss of her husband, a raging war, plus a system where women were not allowed nor encouraged to succeed, an attempted hostile take-over, an unexpected frost, near bankruptcy, she defied all odds ...a became THE standard of champagne, exceeding all her expectations.

Techniques that she invented and developed are still used today. The colour of the orange label was inspired by the colour of the egg yokes of the region. (Orange, by the way, is the colour of abundance.) Her vintage of 1811 is still considered the greatest vintage of champagne ever created.

And on that note of hope against all odds, I wish you and yours a New Year filled with love, joy, and abundance. I wish you courage in the face of obstacles. May the spirit of Barbe Nicole Clicquot be your rocket fuel to greatness in 2025 and beyond.
