Now do the math and see how stupid this backway madness is.

The Gambia Immigration Department (GID) intercepted 62 would-be migrants at Tanji between January 5th and 6th. The group included 35 Gambians, 15 Senegalese, 10 Guineans, and 2 Malians.

Now think properly; gallons of fuel, the weight in kilograms, plus 62 human beings on a tiny boat designed to carry only 6 to 10 people. That is not travel; that is su***de. And the dumbest part? Most of them don’t even understand sea conditions, especially during this dangerous winter season.

No weather knowledge, no safety plan just blind desperation heading straight to death.

Another group of dead bodies has been found. They are dying for nothing. At least they are not dying in Lampedusa, Morocco, or Libya they are dying here, inside The Gambia. At least some families will be able to see the bodies of their loved ones.

Stay away from this dangerous journey. I can tell you this; The Gambia is better than Europe. Europe is just another way of living, not a guarantee of life.

Don’t rescue people involved in illegal backway migration; instead, divert those resources to the needy. The more you rescue, the more we suffer. Please use those funds to support those who are truly in need. Imagine each of these illegal migrants paying between $2,500 and $3,000 per person these people do not need help. Let them face the consequences of their choices.

Happening now at Denton Bridge

Illegal migration has been intercepted by the Gambia Immigration Department at Denton Bridge. All these people think Europe is paradise, blinded by illusions and false hope. Imagine most of the recent deaths are happening right here within Gambian territory.

A fishing boat meant to carry only 5 or 6 people is being overloaded with about 100, these people are dumb and they still expect to reach Europe in broad daylight. That level of recklessness is deadly, not courageous.

If I were an NPP member, I would advise President Barrow and NPP leaders to stay away from Foni for political campaigns or form of politics and save their resources. Foni believes in only one god(Yahya Jammeh) and that is a hard fact. They don’t care about what is happening in the country or about anyone else because they believe that without Jammeh, they cannot survive. They will never change, and nobody can change them whether UDP, NPP or any other political party.

That being the case, let them vote for their permanent candidate, leave them alone, and redirect resources to places where they actually matter.

I have a message for President Adama Barrow: it is time to declare a state of emergency immediately. In Kombo, it feels like only women are left the men are gone.

Today alone, two migrant boats departed from The Gambia en route to Spain’s Canary Islands, according to Ebrima Migrants Situation. One boat reportedly left from Farafenni, while the other departed from the coastal town of Tanji.

This is no longer a warning sign; it is a national crisis. Communities are being emptied in broad daylight while we watch Young men are disappearing, families are breaking, and the country is bleeding its future at sea. Is a collective responsibility

Enough condolences. This requires emergency action.
