🔥 Episode #60 Is Out Now! 🚨
This week we brought on Registered Psychologist and @menzleague partner, Katrina Shaw, to help give us an insiders perspective on what men are really struggling with beneath the surface.
Katrina’s work has impacted the lives of so many men, and she continues to grow that impact by facilitating and operating the MenzLeague clinic which is opening soon in Calgary.
Topics we discuss: mens mental health, the influence of shame, receiving love, womens role in mens mental health, and more.

🚨 NEW EPISODE ALERT 🚨
This week we wanted to give space to a topic that we have danced around, and we believe needs it’s own space:
Self-love.
Self-love was something we “stumbled” upon in our personal development journey, and when we did, we realized how big of an influence it had on our mental health, our ability to give and receive love, and our ability to feel confident in who we were.

P.S - powerful announcement shared in this episode: don’t sleep on it! 🔥
Processing other peoples emotions can be difficult if we don’t allow ourselves to process those same emotions.
What we found thru this episode as well was that a huge component of why we are unable to process or allow certain emotions stems from our early childhood experiences.
This is the purpose of this episode - to share with you the power of inner child work, how healing it can be, and how it can have profound impact on your current life.
Episode 56 - inner child work, healthy masculinity, and Ryan Reynolds?
Available to listen everywhere!
One of the greatest challenges we face as men is the disconnection we have with our own emotions. We know that it comes from being told "boys don't cry", "man up", and "don't be a pussy" when we were little lads... but have we ever considered what kind of emotions that version of us was experiencing? What would happen if we could time travel and talk to that little boy - what would we say? What would HE say? What was he going thru in those moments, and what did he truly need? And what if we could heal this part of us? What would be possible then?
This episode was Inspired by the movie, "The Adam Project", by Ryan Reynolds, and is now available to listen to everywhere!

This episode was such a wild, beautiful, and powerful journey.
We had the great honour of speaking with Cyrus, the Panda Shaman, who is a means coach, group facilitator, artist, and one heck of a self-aware man.
Cyrus blessed us during the episode with a beautiful representation of the Haka, traditionally known as a ceremonial war dance, which he utilizes as a foundational core of his coaching.

But one thing we know to be true is that the things we resist are often where we find the greatest lessons.
So let’s talk.

This was one of our favourite clips of the episode with Addison because it brought to an incredible and profound movie called “The Adam Project” by @vancityreynolds .
The question we phrased to Addison was “what would you tell younger Addison who was going through all that grief?”
And in such a profound way, he expressed how the movie made him think, “what would younger Addison say to me now?”
Personally, (Kyle here), that movie hit me deep in a way I did not expect. Side hugging mom, neglecting and almost blaming the child version of me, not holding space for my own emotional processing… @vancityreynolds , you absolutely crushed it.

Episode 52 with repeat guest, Addison Brazil, is now live!
After the recording, we all knew this was a fun, informative, and inspiring conversation... And then, we all listened back again before the release to make the final edits, and felt that same feeling but with a dash of, “I can’t wait to share this with the world!”
Addison Brasil joins us again to discuss his brand new book, “Grief Club”, where he dials in on his own experiences, practices, and tools from being in Grief Club for the last 13 years.
In so many different ways, this conversation will inspire you, it will shift your perspective towards life, and will leave you feeling honoured - oh, and it will also leave you laughing!

Episode #051 - link is in the bio. Go check it out!
Life becomes simpler, easier, and honestly, more fun when we start to engage and be present with the process instead of waiting our whole lives for it to be complete.
This same understanding can be applied to another important factor which is our emotional states. We just want them to be done, complete, over with. We never give the process of fully experiencing and feeling the emotion any credit because “it’s not complete.” So we add a bunch of things to our to-do list to complete so that we can avoid the things we aren’t giving room to process.
This and SO much more was shared with and by the incredible men over at @menzleague .
You won’t want to miss it, so go head over to the link in our bio and listen to the full episode. (PROFOUND wisdom shared at the end!)
Also - go follow @menzleague and join the community of men becoming better men, together.
🔥 NEW GUEST ALERT! 🔥
In this weeks episode, we had the great honour of having Derek and Fabian, the co-founders of MenzLeague, join us in conversation around how to be better men.
MenzLeague’s entire mission is to support just that - men becoming better men - and they do so by providing a ton of online resources ranging from relationship and financial management courses to nutritional support and mental wellness check-ins. They also hold in-person community gatherings for men to come together and be supported by other men, even if it’s just a good conversation over a glass of wine or an old fashioned.
MenzLeague is changing the game, and we couldn’t be more grateful to be discussing this incredibly important topic with them.

Have a great weekend everyone!
This weeks episode is all about de-stigmatizing the mens locker room and the power of authentic + intentional emotional expression.
Truth is - sometimes talking isn’t what we need. Letting it out in a safe way is.
This is what the mens locker room is for a lot of us. And not only that, but for most us, it was the first time we experienced a group of men crying together, laughing together, and fighting together for a common cause.
Episode is out now on all platforms!

EP #047: Unpacking Loneliness Within the Personal Development Journey.
We’ve discussed loneliness and feeling alone in life before, but one major influence to this has been our personal development and self-awareness journey.
As Anwar shares in this clip, part of the self-awareness journey always seems to prompt a stage of either feeling or actually being alone. We’ve both experienced this in our lives and, truthfully, we still face it today.
But while it can feel lonely and like no one is around doing the same work as you, there is some important things to remember:
1. This journey influenced you to make tough decisions for the betterment of your life. It didn’t force you, but it did open your eyes to who you truly are and who you want to become. Ownership is the key to moving thru this challenging arena.
And 2. The people who helped you build your previous house won’t likely be the ones who help you build your new one.
