“Fog obscures the ground, the pliant earth sinking beneath each hidden footstep. The headstones rise above the cold and clinging veil, acting as bleak beacons to guide you. The efforts of a caretaker or groundskeeper are absent here. The grass and shrubs are overgrown, with vining plants crawling up the pedestals of crosses and the feet of angels. Some headstones are broken, their messages to the dead interrupted, like a breath stopped short.”

The accompanying helmet and gloves float nearby, suspended as if frozen in time.”

“An oil lamp hung from the ceiling casts its sickly pale light on a wall of gruesome trophies: some prizes hanging from hooks, others displayed on floating shelves. Most of the items collected here are organs and other body parts floating in pickling jars. A bronze pot of spicy, sweet incense burns on one of the shelves to stave off the smell of brine. The unsettling centerpiece of this grim collection is a full humanoid skin, leathery and green, its armpits hanging on iron hooks. On a shelf to the right of its papery arm, a preserved feminine head is frozen in an agonized scream, her eyelids sunken in. In another jar on the shelf above, two reptilian eyes with pink tendril tails float.”

This work is the direct result of enthusiastic requests from you—our incredible community of GMs and players—and lots of hard work by the writers and editors.

Some descriptions are as short and punchy as an irate Dwarf Barbarian; others, as pithy and cutting as a testy Elf Bard. They cover all permutations of weapons and fighting styles, such as and . And thanks to the ingenuity and creativity of the authors, all are designed to work in virtually any circumstance, against any foe.

Over the next few months we'll be launching a specialized user interface to enhance the experience further.
