So I made a cake for my daughter in laws bday Saturday night. 🎂

It was a yummy white cake filled with a strawberry compote and cream cheese frosting.

However, the frosting did not contain the compote and it began to break through and drip down the sides. 🫠 Ugh. Has that happed to you before?

Well in an attempt to stop the leakage, I added more and more buttercream. So much so, that I decided I might as well try the trendy retro cake style.

Here is that attempt. 😅 It didn’t go well! The problem was the frosting and I should have fixed from the beginning…so moral of the story?

The house will never stand if it’s on a bad foundation!

Make sure your frosting is made with the right ingredients and temp resistance in mind! Better luck next time! 🤞🏻

Introducing BENTO~BITES! 🎉

“Bento” translates to “convenience” in Japanese. Bento cakes began in South Korea as a way to serve cake in a convenient, more affordable manner. They are usually served in a small square paper or plastic box for on the go snacking!

Sweetbites is jumping on this trend and we are calling them Bento~Bites! All of our Bento~Bites will be served in a small container for convenience & affordability! Plus they are cute! 😉
