Update on items needed:
"These kids usually get 1 “big” item a couple of “small items and then coats, gloves, hats as needed. Fleece blankets, stockings, stocking stuffers, toys for ages birth-12 years old"
Approximately 130 children.

We have a basket at Family Dollar with $1.25 stockings and $1.25 items to go in the stocking. They will hold the items for us, and we will pick them up on Thursday afternoon.
Country Bob's is donating 10% of sales from now until the 17th at 8pm. They also have a donation jar set-up by the register.

Salem Missouri is calling upon our collective kindness. A devastating commercial structure fire last night destroyed all the toys for their local Christmas toy drive, and it's up to us to make a difference. They urgently need our support to collect new unwrapped toys for all ages. Furthermore, they are requesting word searches, coloring books, crayons, colored pencils, and trinkets for the Sheltered Workshop employees who lost their place of employment.

We have a box ready to go in the lobby!
Items will be collected until Thursday at noon!
Our address is 200 North Bourbeuse, St. James, MO.

Drop-off locations:
Houston: OSI- Sheltered Workshop (Sharon Tyger)
Rolla: Reality Executives across from Applebees (Tara Peters)
Salem: Custard by C-Sue
St. James: St. James Police Department

What they are requesting: "We need toys for all ages, either monetary donations or new, unwrapped toys. Additionally, gift cards, winter coats, word searches, or any trinket to keep occupied for the workshop employees. Accounts will be established at The Bank of Salem for both employees and toy drive as soon as the business day starts".

Good morning and Happy Tuesday! Today's Featured Pet of the Day is Ryder. Ryder is currently being held at the Humane Soceity of Southwest Missouri and this is what Ryder has to say, "Hi, I'm Ryder! I'm a young 1-year-old Blue Heeler mix. I love running around, exploring new places, and sniffing out fun adventures. I'm independent, so I don't need constant attention, but I do love a good play session. I'm not a fan of sharing my toys or my space, so I'd prefer a home without other pets or kids. But don't worry, I have enough love and energy to fill a house all by myself. I promise to be your loyal companion, your running partner, and your best friend. If you're looking for a brave, independent, and energetic friend, then I'm your guy. Adopt me and let's start our adventure together!"
The Humane Society used these words to describe him, Friendly, Affectionate, Loyal, Gentle, Playful, Smart, Curious, Independent, Funny, Athletic, Dignified, Loves Kisses, and Protective. For more information on adopting or to fill out an application, please visit our website: https://www.swh.org/adopt.html
Thank you for reading and please share to help this baby boys find a forever home and family for Christmas. This would be his number one on his wish list to Santa, a family and home to love him. Thank you for helping make this boys hopes a reality. Have a great day!
