3. Reverb and Delay: Adding reverb and delay to certain elements of the mix can help to create depth and a sense of space. For example, a long reverb can be added to the lead vocals to give them a sense of being in a large room, or a short delay can be added to a guitar to create an echo effect.

Overall, the key to modern mixing is to use a combination of these techniques and others to create a mix that is balanced, dynamic, and pleasing to the ear.
