George Wein
We mourn the passing of George Wein at 95. As the founder of the Newport Jazz Festival he was no doubt one of the most important figures in the jazz world and beyond in concert production of the last 70 years.
We were the recording producers for the clinics and performances at the International Association for Jazz Education conferences for ten years and George Wein was always an honored and celebrated attendee.

We still have 12 Marantz PMD 221 Cassette Field Recorders, a set of Sony 1310F Cassette Duplicators and < 8,000 master cassette tapes from 1999-2004.

In the last 15 years we've done hundreds of hours of real-time tape to .mp3 file transfers when we receive orders for programs that only exist on tape.

Our video cameras, our wireless lav mics, our lights.
Sometimes the venue's PA sound system does not meet our audio for video standards so as was the case here we place our lapel mics on the presenters for the video. Sometimes the venue's projector lumin output is not powerful enough for the room lights being on so we light the podium with our LED panels so the room lights can be dimmed down all the way to make the screen bright enough to be viewable as was the case here.

This year rather than hosting their annual gala evening dinner and show event Temple Beth El is honoring doctors, nurses and the medical profession in an hour long video variety show that we are producing. We will be broadcasting the video in a live Zoom Webinar Event on February 28, 2021. We start shooting next week. Nothing to see yet except the countdown clock and music!
