They say a picture is worth a thousand words, and this one truly captures it all. After 50 years in the dairy business, our dear customer, Coy Reese, said goodbye to his Jerseys this week. Coy, we can’t thank you enough for dedicating your life to feeding millions and for being such a role model and leader in the farming community.
Even though most of the cows are gone, he’ll always carry the spirit of “A FARMER” in his heart!

A cowboy, who just moved to Montana from Texas, walks into a bar and orders three mugs of Bud.
He sits in the back of the room, drinking a sip out of each one in turn.
When he finishes them, he comes back to the bar and orders three more.
The bartender approaches and tells the cowboy,
"You know, a mug goes flat after I draw it.
It would taste better if you bought one at a time."
The cowboy replies, "Well, you see, I have two brothers.
One is in Arizona, the other is in Colorado.
When we all left our home in Texas, we promised that we'd drink this way to remember the days when we drank together.
So I'm drinking one beer for each of my brothers and one for myself."
The bartender admits that this is a nice custom, and leaves it there.
The cowboy becomes a regular in the bar, and always drinks the same way.
He orders three mugs and drinks them in turn.
One day, he comes in and only orders two mugs.
All the regulars take notice and fall silent.
When he comes back to the bar for the second round, the bartender says, "I don't want to intrude on your grief, but I wanted to offer my
condolences on your loss."
The cowboy looks quite puzzled for a moment, then a light dawns in his eyes and he laughs.
"Oh, no, everybody's just fine," he explains.
"It's just that my wife and I joined the Baptist Church and I had to quit drinking."
“It hasn't affected my brothers though." 😁😁😁

Katharine Hepburn, in her own words:
"Once, when I was a teenager, my father and I were standing in line to buy tickets for the circus. Finally, there was only one family between us and the ticket counter. That family made a lasting impression on me.
There were eight children, all under the age of 12. From the way they were dressed, you could tell they didn’t have much money, but their clothes were clean, very clean. The children were well-behaved, standing in pairs behind their parents, holding hands.
They were so excited about the clowns, the animals, and all the acts they would see that night. From their excitement, you could tell they had never been to a circus before. It was going to be a highlight of their lives.
The father and mother stood proudly at the front of their little group. The mother was holding her husband’s hand, looking at him as if to say, 'You’re my knight in shining armor.' He was smiling, enjoying seeing his family happy.
The ticket lady asked how many tickets he wanted, and he proudly responded, 'I want eight children’s tickets and two adult tickets.' Then she announced the price.
The wife let go of her husband’s hand, her head dropped, and the man’s lip began to quiver. He leaned in closer and asked, 'How much did you say?'
The ticket lady repeated the price.
He didn’t have enough money. How was he supposed to turn around and tell his eight kids that he couldn’t afford to take them to the circus?
Seeing what was happening, my dad reached into his pocket, pulled out a $20 bill, and dropped it on the ground. We weren’t rich by any means. My father bent down, picked up the $20 bill, tapped the man on the shoulder, and said, 'Excuse me, sir, this fell out of your pocket.'
The man understood what was happening. He wasn’t being handed charity, but he gratefully accepted the help in his desperate, heartbreaking, and embarrassing situation. He looked straight into my father’s eyes, took my dad’s hand in both of his, squeezed the bill tightly, and with trembling lips and a tear streaming down his cheek, he replied, 'Thank you, sir. This really means so much to me and my family.'
My father and I went back to our car and drove home. The $20 my dad gave away was what we had planned to use for our own tickets.
Although we didn’t see the circus that night, we felt a joy inside us that was far greater than seeing the circus.
That day, I learned the true value of giving. The Giver is greater than the Receiver.
If you want to be great, greater than life itself, learn to give. Love has nothing to do with what you expect to get, only with what you expect to give—everything.
The importance of giving and blessing others cannot be overstated because there is always joy in giving. Learn to make someone happy through acts of giving."

"This sweet lady did something very nice for me this morning. I didn't grab anything from the house for my lunch so I stopped at the McDonalds in Taft. Doors are locked and this McDonald's worker that was on her break says to me, "I'm sorry Sir but we are only open for drive through." I said, "well that sucks, I'm driving a big rig." As I turn away and started back towards my truck she says, "Sir, I'll go inside and get you something, what would you like?" She used her break to meet my needs and I think that she deserves some appreciation, because I sure do appreciate what she did for me. Us truck drivers are running and doing our best to get product back into the stores to fill the shelves as quick as we can. She showed a little human kindness. A lesson that I think we all can learn from."

Zach Galifianakis Paid Old Homeless Woman's Rent for Decades & Spent Time with Her as She Lost Her Family
When Zach Galifianakis met Marie "Mimi" Haist, she was volunteering in a laundromat, surviving off tips left by customers. She was only allowed to sleep between the washers and dryers so customers couldn't see her.
Haist revealed that she became homeless after her divorce and had been on the streets for decades. Even though Galifianakis was an unknown comedian at the time, he found a comfortable apartment for her and paid her rent.
Galifianakis became a Hollywood star after filming alongside Bradley Cooper in the "Hangover" movie trilogy. However, his fame didn't affect his heart, and he remained down-to-earth.
He maintained a strong bond with Haist and even walked a red carpet with her as his date.
"If he's in town, he takes me ... I dress up nice, and a friend helps me with my makeup. It's fun, not something I've ever dreamed I'd experience. The limo takes me home afterward," revealed Haist.
Their friendship lasted nearly 27 years until she died at 96 years old.

“Tonight, we went out to eat at Cracker Barrel. As we were almost finished, we noticed an elderly woman sitting all alone, drinking a milk and waiting for her meal. A million thoughts went through my mind. She looked so very lonely…Is she widowed? Where is her family? Why is she at a restaurant at almost 8 p.m. (which is stereotypically like midnight in old people time). Also seated next to us were three big, burly, middle-aged, blue collar, hardworking, hungry men. I asked Tom if we should buy her dinner or if we should go sit with her...then one of our boys did/said something which momentarily distracted us but when we looked back up, these big burly guys were moving the frail elderly woman to their table. We continued to watch them interact. The woman was smiling from ear to ear, her face all lit up and she was just a-talking like she hadn’t talked to another human in a very long time. I seriously was choked up, as was Tom. As we left, we left them some money for their meal and Tom thanked them for restoring our faith in humanity...I snapped a picture but really, I will forever remember this moment.”

“Everyone knew my situation. I took the bus to school. It was a fairly small bus, and all of us would talk. So the bus driver knew everything. She was an old lady, in her sixties. White hair. She heard me saying that I didn’t have money to go on my senior trip. So she parked the bus, went into to the dean’s office, and said: ‘Here’s $80, let the girl go on the trip.’ I had a science teacher, Ms. Bernard. She knew that we were homeless, so every once in awhile she’d pay me $20 to clean her classroom. Just so that I could do something for my birthday, or get myself pizza one night, stuff like that. Then our dean Ms. V would let me bring home extra food from the cafeteria, which wasn’t allowed. If it wasn’t for the educators in my life, I’d have gone off the rails, the way a lot of kids who have trouble at home do. I was just craving attention so much. My mom, I love her. But she's never been the best mental health wise, especially after everything she's gone through. I was also getting bullied, just relentlessly by kids in my class. I learned pretty quick that people paid attention to me academically, no other way. In high school my science teachers were really where it was at. Dr. Khan, especially. He was my marine biology teacher. It was my favorite class, because I’ve always loved marine biology. But we also talked about music a lot. That year everything was really up in the air for me: I’d just transferred schools, I was taking care of my little brother, our stepdad was domestically violent. That Christmas Dr. Khan gave me a present. Two presents, actually. The first present was cookies. He said: ‘I always talk to my wife about you, so she made you cookies.’ His wife baked things for a living, on the side. So these were like, real cookies. With sea salt on top. Then the second present was a CD with all the songs we’d ever talked about, mixed-together with videos of all my favorite animals. I do not like dolphins. I love whales. And I genuinely have a thing for sharks. So there’d be like a Blink 182 song, paired with a video of a hammerhead shark. On the card he wrote: ‘Remember, you can always talk to me.”

"So... I am the meanest mom ever... Like... Ever.
Took the kids to Dairy Queen after dinner. They ordered their dessert choices and we waited about 5 minutes for them to call out our number. The young lady (maybe 17) handed each child their ice cream. Not one looked her in the eye. Not one said thank you. Not to her, not to me... So I waited. I counted to 10 in my head as they dug into their ice cream and the young lady just looked at me (probably because she thought I was hearing voices) and I watched as my children strolled out the door. I followed them outside where I calmly collected their ice creams and my kids watched in horror as I deposited them into the nearby garbage can. All 3 launched into mass hysteria. I waited. Quiet. Calm. When they realized I had something to say, they quieted down.
I explained that one day, if they were lucky, they would work a job like that young lady. And I would hope that people would see them. Really see them. Look them in the eye and say thank you. We are too old at 8/7/5 to move through our days without exercising manners and honestly basic human decency.
So today, I am the meanest mom in the world."

I'll make this quick....my daughter lost her beloved gift from her GMA that passed away a week before Xmas. A Seattle Seahawks scarf that she absolutely loved! It completely broke her heart that its gone.
Her and my wife regularly go to the McDonald's in Napavine Washington and order her French fries and hamburger with no meat! (I know its weird) Zac the manager is always there to accommodate her request with an extra treat for her!
Today was a special visit.........
His coworker Brittany had seen the post on Facebook of her lost Seattle Seahawks Scarf and said this is the girl who comes here all the time for her French fries!
This blessed gentleman took it upon himself to buy her another scarf and SURPRISE her on the next visit! He told her it could never replace the lost one but didn't want her not to have one.
As a father with a daughter with Autism, and all that comes with it, Sir my hat goes off to you and your generosity and your love for the community! McDonald's should be blessed to have you as a Manager and you Zac deserve so much in life! You have made my daughter a fan for life. She already wants to work for McDonald's when she grows up.
To Zac and Brittany thank you from the bottom of my heart! My wife and I have a letter for you managers to show our gratitude!
I can only hope that the right people at McDonald's see this and give him the recognition that Zac deserves

So, the other evening, I got invited to this awesome BBQ at a friend's place. We were all chilling on the back deck, grilling up some good food and chatting about life. Suddenly, I noticed the back door creaking open, and out stepped this young lady holding a mason jar.
I was leaning back on this old, rickety dining chair when I paused mid-story and said, "What do we have here?" while eyeing the jar curiously.
She sauntered over, glancing down at the deck as she spoke softly, "Salt water taffy... I'm selling them for 50 cents each. Would you like one?"
I couldn't help but smile and replied, "Well, you’re in luck, because salt water taffy is my absolute favorite!" Her face lit up with a slow grin.
I suggested, "How about we count how many pieces you've got in that jar, and I’ll buy every single one?" She looked surprised and exclaimed, "Really?!"
"Absolutely!" I said, and as she dumped the jar out in front of me, the whole crowd fell silent, watching us count together.
We ended up with a total of 13 pieces, which meant I owed her $6.50. I reached into my overalls and pulled out a ten-dollar bill, asking, "Will this work?" She just beamed at me without saying a word.
After handing her the bill, she passed me the jar of candy. Just as she was about to walk away, I called out, "Oh, wait! I want to give you something." She turned around, and I handed the jar back to her.
Her grin transformed into a beautiful smile as she took the candy and quietly walked away, leaving a trail of joy that brightened up the whole BBQ that night.

I parked my car in an outdoor lot. I forgot to roll up my window, because my mind, as always, must’ve been on other things. I came back a long time later — many, many, many days later. Look what a perfect stranger had done for me, in my absence. Look at the beautiful poem of love that is this note: “Your window was down and the rain was coming. I did my best to help you out. xx — The green truck next to you.” By the time I saw this note, the green truck was long gone. I will never know who did this for me. But I love you. Thank you for taking the time to do this kind act for a stranger. I’m sitting here in my parked car, unable to drive because there are tears in my eyes. I am reminded once more of this sacred truth: Never doubt that thousands of invisible hands are helping you at all times. Love is everywhere, even if you can’t see it. The tenderest care will arrive when you least expect it, and from someone whose name you may never know. Thank you, Green Truck. Thank you ♥️

As I’m heading to work this morning I see Tina (lady who makes my pizzas @ Pie Five) walking down Keller parkway. I pull over and ask if I can give her a ride. She smiles like always and gets in the car…. mind you Pie Five is about 2 miles away from where I picked her up… so we got talking as we drove. She expressed to me she started that job 7 months ago and walks 4 miles every day for work. I said to her… Wow, I know that’s hard on your body; that’s got to be exhausting. She giggled and said “Yah, but what can you do Greg? I need the job… life doesn’t stop. So I make it work. I used to have a bike, but it broke and don’t have another one”.
I dropped her off and said I’ll see you soon! I called Bianca Ballog immediately… pretty choked up about it… told her the story and she said “Greg, we are getting that lady a bike!” I told her…we are on the same page. 2 hours later she now has transportation. Her face when she saw the bike was more than words could express.
She said… I am so thankful and don’t know what to say. I told her… we may be getting this for you, but you have given more to me today than you know. I can not express enough… GET TO KNOW PEOPLE! Ask questions, ask about their struggles, ask what you can pray for. God has called us to serve and love your neighbor as you love yourself. If people truly truly truly truly understood that and did that a lot of the crap that is going on in this world wouldn’t be going on. There are people in need and they are in your own back yard. All you have to do is step out “Your Circle”

As I was pulling into work, I was following this car. The sign in the back window says, “Learning stick sorry for any delay.”
Knowing this information, I was very patient with their slow shifting, and honestly they were doing pretty well for still learning. Then I asked myself a tough question: Would I have been just as patient if the sign hadn’t been there? I can almost definitely say no.
We don’t know what someone is going through. We don’t wear signs that illustrate our personal struggles. You don’t see signs taped to people’s shirts that say, “Going through a divorce”, or “Lost a child”, or “Feeling depressed”, or “Diagnosed with cancer”.
If we could read visually what those around us are going through we would definitely be nicer. But we shouldn’t have to see signs and have reasons to treat strangers with kindness. We should do it anyway, whether we know what is going on or not. Whether they deserve it or not.
Let’s give everyone an extra dose of patience, kindness, and love. And have a Happy and Healthy New Year.

“Tonight, on my flight from Indianapolis to Baltimore I sat next to an unaccompanied minor who was traveling to Baltimore to see her Mother. With Southwest Airlines open seating anyone could have sat next to her, in fact many people avoided her and her boundless energy during boarding. But finally, the couple you see in the photo occupied the two seats to her right.
Within minutes the young girl began chatting and the couple likely realized this wouldn’t be a relaxing flight...and they just rolled with it.
As drinks were being served the couple didn’t even get a chance to voice their requests because they were cut off by the young girl stating, ‘I’ll take water with a straw and so will they so we can paint!’.
And they just rolled with it.
Within minutes the young girl had brought out her Hello Kitty paint sheets and the couple spent the next hour following her instructions- as you can see.
As I type this the man next to her is being covered with Marvel stickers. They are on his ears, in his beard, arms, everywhere. And he is just rolling with it.
Moral of the story: There is good in this world. In fact, there is more good than bad in this world if we just open our eyes to it. There isn’t a script or instruction manual for love. You just have to roll with it.”

"I drive a school bus and have a 6 grader who I would like to talk about. Last week he was talking about an elderly neighbor not
leaving her house for weeks. I tried to explain how hard it could be for her to do things. On Tuesday I pulled up and he wasn't at the stop waiting. I looked over and saw him shoveling her porch. I was early so I waited for him. The other kids asked why I waited. I said anyone helping someone deserves a few extra minutes. All the kids started asking him questions about his neighbor. The next day 7 children got on the bus with blankets, food and cards for the elderly woman. I delivered them after worked. Now everyday she stands on the porch and the whole bus waves good morning. I am so proud of him for stepping up and doing the right thing. He taught all the children something important. I smile with pride in my heart because of the extraordinary children I have on my bus."

I took a Lyft for the first time to pick up my car from the dealership. Halfway through the ride, the driver received a call through the car's system—it was about his own car, which was about to be repossessed. He quickly took the call off the system and told the person on the line he could pay it in two weeks. From my own experience, I knew that when a car reaches repo status, they usually don’t want to hear promises of future payments.
I asked him a few questions to understand his situation and then made a decision. I called the bank and paid off his account. Seeing that young man cry overwhelmed me, and I ended up in tears too. He never asked for help, which made the moment even more meaningful. I’m so glad I could help from the heart, not for attention.
Before I left, I told him, “Some of the best people, including me, have been where you are. Keep going—better things are coming.” It’s a true blessing to be able to help someone in need.

The true measure of kindness is what you do when no one is watching.
Today, as football practice was wrapping up, I noticed an elderly woman walking with her young grandchildren. They were carrying heavy grocery bags, and it was clear the weight was too much for them. The woman and the children stopped several times to adjust the bags, struggling to manage.
I planned to walk over and offer her a ride home, but before I could, a group of St. Augustine High football players stepped in. Despite being tired from their workouts, they walked up to the woman, spoke with her briefly, and then took over carrying the bags for her and the children.
Five blocks later, they safely delivered the woman and her grandchildren home with all their groceries.
Well done, team! Your selfless actions are a wonderful example for all of us. Thanks.❤ 💜

There was a boy nicknamed Sparky, for whom school was all but impossible. He failed just about every subject in the eighth grade. He flunked physics in high school with a grade of zero! In sports, Sparky fared not much better. He did manage to make his high school golf team, but lost the most important match of the season. He lost the consolation match, too.
While he wasn't actively disliked by the other students, he was awkward socially, and it seemed no one really cared. Sparky never once asked a girl to go out in high school because he was too afraid of being turned down.
There was one thing that was important to Sparky -- drawing. He drew constantly and felt his artwork was pretty good. In his senior year of high school, he finally got up the nerve to submit some of his drawings to the yearbook. Unfortunately, they were rejected. Nevertheless, after high school, Sparky got up the nerve again, to submit some cartoons to the Walt Disney Studios. Finally, the reply came ... Sparky had been rejected once again.
Sparky expressed himself the only way he knew how. He started drawing an autobiography of a little boy who was a loser, a chronic underachiever, someone who didn't even have the respect of his own dog. This autobiography might sound familiar to you. It's the story of the "Peanuts" cartoons, featuring Charlie Brown, a character based on the early life of his creator, Charles Schultz, who was known by the nickname Sparky, and whose work, when he died in February 2000, at the age of 77, had been known the world over for 50 years.
Wonderful encouragement!!!
