UPDATE: He has been located and In-Custody thank you for your assistance.

(Ouachita Parish) - On May 17, 2025, at approximately 3:04 p.m., the Ouachita Parish Sheriff’s Office responded to a shooting at a residence on New Natchitoches Road. Upon arrival, deputies located an adult male victim suffering from a gunshot wound. He was transported to St. Francis Medical Center, where he was later pronounced deceased.

The suspect, 22-year-old, Malachi Bidleman, fled the scene prior to deputies arrival. Bidleman, wanted for Second-Degree Murder, was last seen on a “flashy” blue Mongoose bicycle, leaving 2300 New Natchitoches in West Monroe, in an unknown direction, wearing blue jeans and a white and grey shirt.

If you see Bidleman, DO NOT approach him, as he is considered ARMED AND DANGEROUS. Please contact 318-329-1200 IMMEDIATELY.
