I've started a project called The Cunningham Press. It's a continuation of the business of my late father, at least the name is. The idea is to promote and sell the works of photographers and other artists that are not receiving proper exposure, and to help the world discover these people and collect

their work. Austin is a fantastic photographer and happens to live here in Portland. He is followed enthusiastically on Flickr where he has over 30k fans, but he rarely prints nowadays, he’d rather shoot. He has also recently published a book and in November gave a talk at the Portland Art Museum. We are working together to release his best images as handmade platinum palladium prints. First will be his Point Reyes work, much of which also appears in his book, "Elegy from the Edge of a Continent, Photographing Point Reyes." Austin has traditionally created silver gelatin darkroom prints, and more recently archival pigment prints (also known as gicleé). This will be the first time any of his photographs have ever been available as platinum palladium prints, and for most of them, the first time they've been available at all. For this collaboration, I am making the platinum palladium prints and offering them online through the website, www.thecunninghampress.com
I have very intentionally created The Cunningham Press to be able to represent and serve multiple select clients, so long as I can do so effectively and not spread my efforts too thinly. It will also serve as an outlet for my own work. For now, most or all of the work presented will be platinum palladium photographic prints, but I don't see this as a strict requirement, time will tell.
