HOLLYWOOD THEATRES BUZZING TODAY FAMS & FANS BUNDLE UP AFTER OSCAR SHOWERS

Oscars last Sunday, this week Hollywood Boulevard is closed off again with a tent city out front of El Capitan Theatre for the antipated premiere of "Cinderella" ft multi Oscar winner CATE BLANCHETT! This from director Kenneth Branaugh whose theatrical stylized films like Hamlet with Mel Gibson are becoming classics. Around the way at Quentin Tarantinos The New Beverly Theatre shows only film on reel entertainment retrospectives, Every film always on film 16-35mm weekly ..March is 90s Film Month ft director Michael Manns epic crime saga "HEAT". Heat was a unique box office fave film event in 1995 for casting Robert Deniro & Al Pacino simultaneously for the first time + Mann is an incredibly respected director whose considered a Hollywood film professor by many prominent Hollywood actors. In "Collateral" DVD bts actor Jamie Foxx is quoted "I'm going to Michael Mann school!"
Hollywood is warm & overcast today & crowds are moderate today but roads & traffic are difficult. I reccommend taking a relaxing METRO ride today is perfect for walking with a honey or fam outing to the AMC. Cheers.

AWARD WINNING VOICE ICON & ON AIR PERSONALITY GARY OWENS DIED FEB 12TH IN CALIFORNIA

Los Angeles:
60s - 70s radio had a very very specific sound thanks to the iconic voices of radio legends like Casey Kasem & Gary Owens! Growing up in a farm town TV & Radio had a huge influence in my young life & I have fond memories of precious chill time with dad listening to oldies & watching Johnny Carson & hearing Owens iconic, ironic open VO "from beautiful downtown Burbank..". Owens hosted a popular radio show for 30 years, recorded voiceover on literally thousands of cartoons & commercials & was the voice of one my fave cartoon characters "Space Ghost" & many others. Owens was named "Top Radio Personality In The World" by Billboard Magazine (1995) & was inducted to both the TV & Radio Halls Of Fame. Owens is best known as the stylistic newsy voiced announcer for the television variety show "Laugh-In" & also honored with a star on Hollywoods Walk of Fame. In terms of my education & career influences Owens & others like Casey Kasem, Dick Clark, Bob Coburn & others have inspired me & have had a positive personal impact. Gary Owens died this month at his home in Encino California he was 80.

The "Trailer Park" set up signals the fun final pieces of the pop up celebrity palace puzzle is nearly done! Los Angeles PD is tight with hordes of crew, spectators & tourists everywhere! Sounds of cop choppers & clop clops of mounted police are heard down the way at Sunset/Highland checkpoint. There's no other Hollywood this is it & it's way to real.
