The CCA Celebration of Black Cinema & Television always fills my spirit. Produced by the incredible , this event uplifts Black storytellers on screen. The energy, success, and creativity in the room are unmatched. And this year, I loved hearing Black men acknowledge that their success was thanks to a Black woman. In the words of Malcolm D. Lee, “Get you a Black woman if you wanna be successful.”

Both ceremonies were stunning, and I had a blast handling socials for the evening. Shoutout to my date .entertainmentguy slaying the carpet with me! All my friends looked incredible.

This weekend’s side quest: taking home 3rd place at the look-alike contest. 🥉 Fun fact: my Shrek costume journey was a disaster—first one was wrong, second one didn’t show up, so I DIY’d this masterpiece the morning of. 🛠️💚

Major shout out to my friends who got a random text from me that said, ‘I’m dressing up as Shrek on Sunday. I need you to dress as (insert character) and meet me at the park. Don’t ask questions.’ And they SHOWED UP AND SHOWED OUT. 🙌🏽✨

Lastly, , thank you for creating spaces that are just pure joy and fun with zero judgment. We all need more of that in our lives. I wanna be like you when I grow up. 🫶🏽 💚🐐

Celebrating the incredible talents at the CCA AAPI Cinema & Television Awards was such an honor. The fashion was on point, the show ran on time (props for that!), but they did run out of whiskey for the Monkey Shoulder Old Fashioned… aw nooo. 🥲
All in all, an amazing night celebrating Asian American and Pacific Islander stories on screen. Cheers to more representation and more whiskey next year! 🥂

No makeup, hoodie on, hair in a ponytail – you know this is serious. I couldn’t wait until tomorrow; it was on my spirit to get to the polls today. Voting isn’t just a right; it’s a responsibility, and today I cast my vote! 🙌🏾

Black Americans didn’t gain full, protected voting rights until the Voting Rights Act of 1965, a hard-fought victory that came after decades of suppression and struggle. People risked everything – their lives, families, and freedom – so we could have this right. I vote to honor their legacy, to move progress forward, and to continue the fight they started.

This election holds so much weight. I cast my vote for:

• Women’s rights and the right to choose
• Reproductive justice
• Affordable housing and healthcare – critical for us here in California

AND Kamala Harris, who’s already made history as the first Black woman and woman of color to serve as Vice President and the NEXT PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES!!🇺🇸

Our choices today shape tomorrow. Every vote counts, from national leaders to local ordinances. Let’s make change together. 🗳️

I had the absolute honor of attending the first-ever screening of Gladiator 2 at the Paramount lot. Huge thanks to Paramount for having me!

𝐌𝐲 𝐫𝐢𝐠𝐡𝐭-𝐨𝐮𝐭-𝐨𝐟-𝐭𝐡𝐞-𝐭𝐡𝐞𝐚𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐫𝐞𝐚𝐜𝐭𝐢𝐨𝐧? This sequel is everything. If you’re going to make a follow-up, THIS is how it’s done. Not a single boring moment. The opening sequence alone will knock your socks off. Every actor, writer, cinematographer, costume designer—everybody crushed it. Paul Mescal? THE PERFECT LEAD. Pedro Pascal was phenomenal, as always. And Denzel Washington? He fu**ed. That. S**t. Up. Gave it all and then some. Ridley Scott? Of course, the man outdid himself.

Joseph Quinn and Fred Hechinger as the emperors were just the right amount of sadistic , twisted, and brilliant. Connie Nielsen returning felt like no time had passed—she looks spectacular.

This movie was like eating the best damn piece of cake. You think it’s going to be good, but then you take that first bite—moist, rich, perfect—and the next thing you know, you’ve devoured the whole thing at midnight, zero regrets, and all you can think about is doing it again.

The way Ridley layers this film is unreal. The textures? You feel them from the first scene. There’s no downtime, no lull—just something amazing unfolding every second. The set designers deserve the ultimate Roman bathhouse experience for the brilliance they put on screen.

Trust me, I’ll be back on opening night because I need to experience this masterpiece again with the crowd’s reactions. Awards are coming for this one. Get ready.

I had the absolute pleasure of attending the Monster Summer Junket on behalf of and what a blast it was! I got to spend time with the cast and fellow content creators while gearing up for the spookiest time of the year at 👻

Side note: I want to give a big shoutout to the amazing group of content creators pictured here! This is the second year I’ve had the privilege of celebrating Halloween festivities at a theme park with some of these incredible people. They’re not just fun but also some of the most welcoming and approachable individuals I’ve met in this industry.
