JAV Landworks is hiring!
Absolutely must be dependable, enjoys working with little direction and of course has experience with both operating heavy equipment and hauling equipment.

Responsibilities:

- Operating our forestry mulcher equipment and other excavating equipment
- Hauling equipment
- Maintenance on equipment and vehicles
- Working on our farm during peak seasons or as needed
- Shop work will be required at times
- Labor type work will be involved

Requirements:

- RELIABLE!!!
- Must have a valid CLASS “A” CDL license with zero restrictions
- Minimum 1yr Experience operating heavy equipment
- Practical mechanics experience/knowledge
- Must have a great attitude and enjoyable to work with.
- Must have great attention to detail. Absolutely zero mindsets of “that’ll be good enough”. If it’s not perfect, then it’s not “good enough”
- Must be professional and respectful
- Must have great communication skills
- Must be able to properly load and secure equipment
- Must be able to do physical labor

Job type: Full time with overtime
Monday-Friday with some weekends required
Hourly wage: $30-$35 depending on experience

Few more projects we finished up with the cmi. Calvin Davis put in some HOURS on getting this thing done. Can’t thank him enough. We Added over 1,600lbs of weight on the rear end and incorporated some tree kickers into the mix!
Absolute game changer on steep hills!🤝
Wish we did this way sooner. Honestly can’t believe the difference this rear weight did for this machine. Huge Thanks to Evan Fette with the perfect paint match and helping me try to paint like a professional lol.
One of the bite limiter rings on the rotor completely broke off, then we realized that 90% of the rings were all cracked at the welds!
All welds grinded out and re welded along with making a few new bite limiters from scratch that flew off. All said and done Calvin completely killed this one as it was only 2.5oz out of balance!💪

Happy to have this thing finally back on a job and even better than it ever was💯

Reminiscing on where JAV Landworks started out 2 1/2 years ago with buying a 200k mile truck that needed more work than not, borrowing random trailers to haul the equipment and using a demo fecon head.
I remember driving this truck back home 4 hours away almost scared for my life with the “death wobble”, blowing a power steering line and barely having any brakes but still just looking in my side mirrors imagining pulling a trailer with the mulcher on it just full of excitement for what was about to come in the next several months.
Fast forward from then to now

Now finally have the opportunity to bid on 2 separate yearly contracts. Weather I get them or not honestly doesn’t matter nearly as much to me as just having the opportunity to do so.
Couldn’t be more thankful for every opportunity that has came my way and the people who have helped push me and gave me advice along the way

It’s pretty crazy to see this property transform from the last pic to the first. Still alot of work to be done from retaining walls, driveway install plus much more clearing & hydro seeding.  
 Kevin Orschell originally had me come in to clear this property so he could excavate and level this massive hill side. Once done, we got to come back and work our magic with some more clearing and light dirt work with laying down some top soil and finished off with hydro seeding👌🏼 
Huge thanks to James J Bellman for letting me use his hydro seeder to get this job done. First time ever running one myself so I’m pretty damn proud to see this portion of the job turn out so perfect.

Eye spy with my little eye…. A transformer box…

Last Week Kyle Robben and I walked this road side before we ever even off loaded the equipment to look for obstructions. This transformer was so well hidden and over grown with honey suckle we still didn’t even see it as we were looking for objects as such.. The CMI made sure to find it tho as well as what I’m assuming is the ground rod that the cmi wrapped up…

I’m extremely thankful that no one was hurt or killed. And thankful to how fast REMC responded and contained the hazard.
On the other hand, it kind of pi**es me off that an object that poses such danger that could easily kill someone is so neglected that you can’t even see it 1 foot away from your eye sight.

Makes me a little wheezy thinking about how bad this could have been, but again thankful.
