Thankful Thursday!!
This week, we’re feeling extra thankful for three things: health, time, and the means to make memories together. Last weekend was such a blessing! We started with a walk to Casey for breakfast, enjoyed a peaceful morning in our community park, experienced our first Apple Festival in Murphysboro 🍎, and ended the day cooking a Korean meal, Tteokbokki, for the first time. 🍽️

Pregnancy is a beautiful thing to experience, but that doesn’t make the experience the same for everyone. I, for one, didn’t enjoy being pregnant. Below are some of my experiences.

1. I low-key wished for a miscarriage in the first trimester. I experienced hyperemesis gravidum but never went to the hospital to be diagnosed with that (I couldn’t eat or drink water, was bedridden for weeks, and just kept losing weight, 24/7 throwing up).

2. Terrible heartburn or acid reflux throughout my pregnancy.

3. Inability to sleep at night due to restless leg syndrome, pelvic pain, muscle pull, and acid reflux.

4. Brushing my teeth every morning was a hustle.

5. Having to eat every 3 hrs else, I will start throwing up, which makes me tired.

In all, I am blessed to have been chosen to be your mom.

Throwback to 28 weeks when I had to take my glucose test. My one-hour glucose tolerance test was not as bad as I expected. The time frame needed to get that juice down is what makes it challenging, but aside from that, it was a smooth one for me. Grateful I did not throw up or fail the test.
