I was listening to a podcast the other day, and the host said "If you're alive, you can get better."

This kid went from being shy, awkward and terrified of new things to a lead role in a musical, and a section leader in band.

I was terrified of heights, and volunteered to jump out of airplanes with a machinegun.

You can do it too.

Find something you enjoy doing, and continue to get better at it. You grow by putting yourself into challenging situations and figuring them out, doesn't matter if it's a technical skill, an art, or running, or lifting weights. You're probably going to suck at it at first, but it doesn't matter if you're growing. I've been doing this photography thing for 12 years, and there are still things I want to improve. Don't let it stop you from starting!
