Thanks so much to everybody who came out to the concert last Saturday, and have continued to make this thing a success. And wow, thanks so much to Soma (from Yakima) for filling in for Star Anna last minute. Many thanks to all the bands who played, and shared their incredible talents with us.

These all ages concerts would not be possible without all our great volunteers. I wanted to send a special thank you to James, Ciana, Sarah, Rob, Nat and Katja. I (and Wenatchee) appreciate you soo much.

And of course, many thanks to Andy Martin Peart for not only running sound, but taking the time to bring his PA to the hall for these shows. Not the funnest thing to be transporting/setting up/taking down.

Star Anna had to cancel due to illness, but we have a band from Yakima called Soma filling in! And they keep with my mission of giving younger bands a space to play!

So tonight’s lineup will be:

AND, if that weren’t enough, Kathy Moore will be playing guitar in Star’s band for this show. Kathy is an incredible musician. You may have seen her in Krist Novoselic’s (of Nirvana) band playing guitar when they played Wenatchee this past summer.

Had a great time shopping and talking records with everyone at The Lake City Record Show today! Always reinvigorating to go to a record show and be around people who love records as much as I do. Makes me excited for the next Apple Valley Vinyl Record Expo on May 17th 2025. The drive today wasn’t half bad either!

One of the things I’m most excited about for the next concert (Saturday December 7th), is seeing these kids play their first show! Browndy Blooms is a group of 10-13 year olds, from Wenatchee/Leavenworth. I put a call out looking for younger musicians interested in forming a band, and was able to put their parents in contact with each other. And after all their hard work, here they are! They play first, a very short set (maybe 3-4 songs), so don’t be late!

If you know of any other younger musicians looking to start a band with others, let me know! Let’s get more kids playing music together!

Wenatchee! Come get yourself some vinyl records!

Thursday October 31st-Saturday November 2nd at the IOOF hall in Wenatchee. One of our record vendors is having a sale, setting up at least three tables of vinyl. He’ll also be selling a bunch of tapes, CDs and some audio equipment along with a ton of other things filling up the ground floor of the hall. This is not an Apple Valley Vinyl Record Expo event, but I am getting the word out for the vendor.

Sale starts at 9AM each day. Open until at least 3pm. Enter the building through the back door/rear entrance of the building.

Hey Wenatchee, Peter Sumic (singer/guitar player/songwriter) behind the incredible Seattle band (Forest Ray) will be playing today (Sunday) at Wenatchee Valley Brewing from 5-7pm. Free, all ages. He’s always got a ton of vinyl with him. For fans of a psych laid back Beatles.

I’m super excited for this one. Star Anna is fresh off her appearance on the television show Band in Seattle (link in the comments), and I have wanted to bring her to Wenatchee for awhile.

Browndy Blooms is a group of 10-13 year olds from the Wenatchee area, playing their first show. They open the show, and are playing a very short set, so show up early!

Ron and Sarah make incredibly beautiful music together as Deep Green Sea. Harmonies for days.

Deluxe Marble Race brings the heavy, and are quickly getting their name out there in WA. Great younger band.
