Cedarwood Sound

A music studio based out of Western North Carolina, that puts the artist and vision first.

Cedarwood Sound was founded as a father-son collaboration between professional drummer Todd Kemmerling, and his son and audio engineer Tyler Kemmerling, with a goal to provide a comfortable, quality experience to the musicians and artists of the Smoky Mountains. The studio, which began as a rehearsal room for the pair, is constructed entirely of cedar, hence the name: Cedarwood Sound! Prior to Tod

d's work with Cedarwood he owned many successful small businesses, including a central New Jersey swim team, where Todd's coaching produced dozens of D-1 athletes, and several Olympians. Tyler, who is the studio's head audio engineer, spent years working in recording studios in both Chicago, and in Nashville. He has worked with artists ranging from the cast of Hamilton to Jimmy Buffett. Another album that Tyler contributed both engineering, and production to was "Ephorize" by the artist Cupcakke, which last year was recognized by Rolling Stone Magazine as a top 200 Hip-Hop album of all time.
