FarmGirl Press

FarmGirl Press FarmGirl Press was started by Stephanie A. Marcellus and Angela Hansen Sievers in the Fall of 2023.

They are most definitely kindred spirits who share a deep love and appreciation for rural life, its people, and its landscapes. Stephanie is a professor of English at Wayne State College, where she teaches creative writing and literature. Angela is a poet, farmwife, mom, and owner of Hansen Painting. They are both editors at FarmGirl Press, located in Northeast Nebraska. If you share a love for al

l things rural and literature, please connect with us and check out our website, FarmGirlPress.com, where you can submit your poetry, fiction, creative nonfiction, and visual art. In the near future, we will also offer subscriptions for our literary magazine, The Gilded Weathervane, and FarmGirl merchandise in our online store. If you have any questions or just want to chat about FarmGirl stuff, you can reach us at [email protected]. We are currently working on the first issue of our literary magazine and will offer subscription pricing and information in August 2024.

We have open submissions through the end of this month for our Spring Issue of The Gilded Weathervane.
