Living in Dubuque, Ia the Brewers were hardly ever on tv. I can’t tell you how how many hours I spent listening to Uecker while doing my homework, or shooting hoops in the driveway, or just listening to the game with my dad in the garage. Not to mention all the times in the car. My first job was score keeping and announcing slow pitch softball and I always tried to do my best Uecker impersonation. Bob is also one of the reasons I got into broadcasting. I really wanted to be a baseball announcer but I’ll settle for a radio dj. Brewer baseball will never sound the same.
