Hello Friends!

I stepped out of my comfort zone again. This time to start a new business, called Tune Tots with Mr. Tempo! I’m going to be putting on local concerts for kids target age 3 months up to 5 years old and beyond, the goal being create an engaging, interactive experience in order to create an interest in music early on in your child’s life.

Where you may ask? Right here in good ole’ Wausau! We are currently working on numerous locations for things like, but not limited to:

Kids/Family Brunch Shows
Bi-weekly Concert Programs
Pop-up Drum Circles
Baby Raves

And much more! Shows will include the opportunity for you and your child to connect through the power of music! Fun percussive instruments are provided and participation from kids and parents alike is ENCOURAGED! Let your little get the energy out and have FUN singing, dancing, and learning!

Rock the Mountain! 🏔 Saturday, August 26th! Mad Dog & Merrill kick off the day from 1pm – 4pm recording an upcoming TV Show promoting UP Tourism and Travel. You could be part of the TV Show! Free Admission 1pm-4pm.

🎶 Music starts at 4pm when Govern rocks the mountain, followed by Safe Sax Entertainment, Gerry Pirkola and hometown favorite, Melanie Rose closes the show. Interesting take on how mixing vocals has changed over the last 75 years or so! Here at Hi Freak, we truly believe it comes down to personal preference. But the trends are an interesting way to see how taste on a macro level has evolved.

Lead vocalists have gotten quieter over the decades, compared with the rest of the band, according to a new study. Beck says it's part of the "volume wars."

Hey All, Christopher here. Just wanted to pop in and say how personally proud we are to have been a part of the new Melanie Rose album, Runner. This was our second album with Mel, and getting to work with her before was such a blessing in the way we approached this album with her. This was a project that was grown in the studio. When Mel told me she was going to record another album, and the things she wanted to accomplish, I got so incredibly excited. Mel’s songwriting ability is unmatched. I was not let down. The first time I heard the title track, Runner, I knew I was going to love this project. M95 was an anthem that captured not only my own hometown, but the hometown of anyone who’s ever taken a second to stop and appreciate their surroundings. Gratitude made me want to punch a hole in my wall, because it made me feel the hurt of my own first heartbreak. Mel is a great musician not ONLY because of her amazing voice, not ONLY because of her catchy melodies, but because she can feel a feeling and then MAKE you feel it too, through her song. That’s why we all were so absolutely honored to work with her again. I guess what I’m saying is we loved being a part of this release, and we hope you all enjoy listening to it as much as we loved working on it. We’ve had a blast working with @chad_the_wierdo on his release! This was a project where we truly got to dig in and experiment with the sound and what was possible.
