We got to celebrate the release of Pete Sheild's second book in his series, REMNANTS last week. Fellow Ten16 author, Gavin Zastrow, was even there to support him! It turns out Pete is not only an author, but also the former dentist to pretty much everyone in Oconomowoc. :) It was a lovely evening celebrating such a nice guy and talented writer. This past week, we got to support Jeannee Sacken at her book launch for the final installment in the Annie Hawkins Green Series, THE RULE OF THIRDS. It was amazing to learn more about Afghan culture and current events to help us dive into Annie’s next adventure. We even got to play some Annie Hawkins Green trivia and munch on some Afghan food from the story.

My mission has always been to give others a voice, to help others feel less alone, and to make dreams come true.

Publishing a book, and all that goes into it, does all of the above when you are working with the right author and the right team.

Christy Wopat was the one who elevated my publishing house and checked all the boxes for fulfilling my mission. Her books have brought comfort for so many who couldn't find the right words. Her writing style is REAL and you cannot help but fall in love with her through every chapter.

October is Infant Loss Awareness month. This woman right here is the reason why I have books to share with loss moms. She is creative and kind and hard working and forgiving and even though she has to make tough decisions as a business owner, she does them with love. I was her very first ‘traditional’ book contract and we navigated that storm together and came out of it learning so much. She took a chance on me because she could feel the love in my words. She is amazing. So much love, Shannon.
