ASPNhd.com was created to give our youth a larger than life moment to look forward to by professionally broadcasting and streaming youth sporting events they are involved in and airing them live on ASPNhd.com. The games covered will be available for a period of time on the site as well. At the onset, the plan is to cover a series of Brookline Youth Baseball games. The coverage crew is built around
professionals in the field with years of experience. ASPNhd creator and founder, Arlen Showstack, has worked in the field of television production for 25 years, and produced and directed all major sports including semi-pro baseball. He’s also currently Director of inner city high school sports coverage for the City of Boston. The games will be covered in a multi-camera format with cameras located at various positions to maximize the coverage. In addition, a full set of detailed graphics will be inserted as well as instant replays. On a standard shoot, the crew would consist of a producer/director, a video engineer, 4-5 camera operators, an audio operator, a graphics operator, a tape/replay operator, a statistician, 2 announcers, a sideline reporter, a live feed operator and 1-2 grips. In terms of equipment, ASPNhd will be using an HD-SDI Broadcast Switcher, a fully integrated 6-channel intercom system, 4-5 Industrial HD cameras, a workstation PC for graphics, a Slo-mo Controller, a 14-channel audio mixer, 2-3 HD recording devices, a high end laptop to work alongside a video encoder for live streaming and an uninterrupted power supply.
