Three Girls and a Mustache on the stage now in downtown Washington. tailgate Revival and Cassadee Pope will perform in the WC Birdcage. Show starts at 5:30pm. The vendors are all set up on Main Street and lots of great food.

Tonight in downtown Washington National Recording Artist from The Voice Cassadee Pope with special guest Tailgate Revival. lf the weather does not cooperate today, the show will be moved to The WC Bird Cage Gym. It’s Free come on out for great live music, food, and fun!

Hayleigh Cummings from Washington also competing today and several others. The girls game tips off at 3:30pm and the boys game at 5:30pm at the Hatchet House. Tickets are $7 dollars.
Good luck to Coach Lacey Higgins, and Braydon Knepp. Lacey, one of the HBCA Coaches of the Year will be the head coach for the girls, and Braydon was selected as a player for the boys!! Both games are at the Hatchet House this Sunday, and if you can’t make it out, you can tune in to watch on the ISC Sports Network. Go Vikings!!

WEEKEND NEWS ROUND-UP
(Flood)
A flood warning has been issued thru Wednesday for the White River at Petersburg, Edwardsport, Newberry, and Hazleton. Portions of the Wabash River, White River, and East Fork White River are in flood or will soon be. As of late last night, the crest on the Wabash River was near Covington, on the White River near Elliston, and on the East Fork White River slightly downstream of Seymour. Flooding on the East Fork White River is expected to end this weekend, while the White River sees flooding as late as mid-week next week, and the Wabash River until late next week. Minor flooding is occurring or will occur at the White River at Edwardsport thru Wednesday morning which may result in road closures. Stay tuned for updates.
(Plainville Fire)
Firefighters were called to the scene of a structure fire yesterday in Plainville. The call came in just after 7pm last night at 7843 State Road 57. No report of injuries or damage, but State Road 57 North near Division Road was closed for a time as firemen battled the blaze.
(Loogootee Arrest)
Loogootee Police with the help of several agencies wrapped up an investigation leading to several arrests yesterday. Following a two month investigation, police obtained a search warrant for the Rodney Bateman residence located on the SW Side of Loogootee. Deputies located six grams of m**h, and paraphernalia at the home. 55-year old Bateman was arrested on multiple drug charges. Also arrested at the scene was 55-year old Paula Mitchell of Loogootee on a number of drug charges. 50-year old Christina Lytton of Martinsville was charged with possession and visiting a common nuisance. And 39-year old Emily Osborne of Alfordsville was arrested for visiting a common nuisance.
(Closings for the Eclipse)
A quick reminder for the upcoming weekend, The entire North Daviess Community School Campus (athletic facilities, yards, bathrooms, and buildings) will be closed and completely off limits from today at 5:30 p.m. through Tuesday morning. The Campus is under video surveillance. The town of Plainville has announced they are closing the park for all campers, RVs, or overnight parking through Monday.
(Eclipse Safety)
Daviess county deputies and Washington City police will be out in full force all weekend for the Eclipse. Sheriff Gary Allison says just be aware of people you may be allowing to park on your lots.
Barry Hudson with the Washington Police Department says just be patient,and expect some delays along the way for the busy weekend. Every officer on both departments will be on the road for safety this weekend.
(Eclipse Activities)
Today begins the first day of the Eclipse Festival in downtown Washington. Live music starts at 11am and kids activities will be held in the bicentennial pocket park across from the theater. There will be food trucks, vendors. And more. See the full schedule today on our WAMW page. Tomorrow the activities will continue starting at 1pm. In the case of inclement weather on Sunday, the concerts will be moved to the Bird Cage. Tomorrow's Headliner will be National Recording Artist Cassadee Pope. In Odon, Silly Safaris will be on the bandstand at the park starting at 5pm. Trey Knepp plays at 8pm. Inflatables will be set up for the kids in the park. Chalk up the town will be on Main Street starting at 10am, with judging at noon.

The Daviess County CEO Class will be hosting their annual trade show on Sunday, April 14th at the Eastside Park Community Building. The show will be from 2-4pm and will highlight this year's students and the businesses they have created from the ground up. Tune in for live updates during the show on Memories 107.9fm.
(Saturday Sports Round-Up)
In sports, the East vs West Hoosier Basketball Coaches Association All Star Game is set for tomorrow at the Hatchet House in Washington. Several local players will be participating. The girls game tips off at 3:30pm, and the boys will follow at 5:30pm. Cost to enjoy the showcase is only $7.
Women's Final Four games last night, South Carolina moves to a record of 108 wins to just 3 losses in three seasons defeating North Carolina State 78-59.
In the other semi final, Caitlyn Clark finished with 21 points and 9 rebounds just shy of a double-double as Iowa advanced to the championship holding off UConn in a thriller 71-69. The women's championship game will be Sunday afternoon at 3pm.
Today the men's final four will take center stage as Purdue will face North Carolina State at 6pm, while Alabama meets UConn at 9pm.
The men's championship will be Monday night.
The Cincinnati Reds fell to the Mets yesterday 3-2 in Cincy. The series continues today with first pitch at 4:10pm this afternoon on The General 95.9 / 101.3fm.
Indiana State Basketball head coach Josh Schertz has informed his Sycamore players and coaches that he’s leaving ISU and has taken the St Louis job. This season he guided ISU to 32 wins the second most in a single season and the programs first MVC Regular Season title since 2000. Over the last two years Schertz has guided ISU to a 55-20 record. Schertz deal is reportedly six-years, for $12 million dollars at St Louis.
