Many of the golfers and spectators at Red Wing Lake Golf Course would be hard-pressed to believe the temperature was in the high 90s before the holiday weekend. Monday morning, the conditions were perfect to tee off another week of Virginia State Golf Association events for the Junior ranks.

Will be logistically closer getting to Washington Commanders games. Aside from that, not much more of an advantage if new stadium ends up in Woodbridge. Interested to know what fans in the DMV and the 756 think of this latest news from my pal John Keim at ESPN

The Washington Commanders paid more than $100 million for land in Virginia, a possible next step in building a new stadium, as well as numerous retail shops, restaurants and apartments, according to a source with knowledge of the purchase.

Scary scene at Denver Broncos Mile High Stadium, story on WTKR News 3

A fire is burning at Empower Field at Mile High, the Denver Broncos' stadium. Video from the area showed a large smoke plume coming from the stadium, as well as fire in the stadium's seating area.
