Last week on Nov. 2 + 3, a culinary metaverse descended onto @bourbonsteakdc’s patio at @fswashington to benefit John Hopkins Kimmel Cancer Center at @sibleymemorialhospital.
@chefmichaelmina hosted 10 Michelin-starred + James Beard Award-winning chefs, both local and out of town, including @ninacompton, @asobel, @chefbianco, @chefhillarysterling, @chefmendin, @brad_kilgore, @chefgillesepie (@lavantgardedc) , Stephanie Gratier (@boulangeriechristophe) + @chefyuantang (@roosterandowl).
The elite chefs offered guests a range of sweet + savory bites, with many opting for seafood based cuisine. Think seafood towers, a caviar bar, lobster burrata + a crab salad panipuri.
Along with food, pours of fine wine + music from @lucyblackent, people could tour the patio grounds + huddle around open fires + mingle.

We are feeling the October spooky vibes, so we stopped by @deathandcompany in Blagden Alley to see what ghoulish goodies we could find.
We weren’t disappointed: The venue has both indoor + outdoor spaces, with a massive, covered outdoor bar. The space gives welcoming + elevated vibes, building on the concept’s NYC + LA locations to create an atmosphere that’s completely unique to D.C.
The cocktails are hauntingly delicious. Divided into four categories — including a curated list of zero-proof options — the menu provides everyone a drink that will delight.
Must orders include the Drunken Cookies + the Cruise Master (which has delicious notes of green chili, pineapple, lime, amaro).
Find Death & Co in the space formally occupied by Columbia Room at 124 Blagden Alley NW.
