Meet the Rewinders
Ally Jenkins & Eric Peterson are not professional film critics, nor are they studied historians. They’re just two funny friends living in the here and now who have a yen for old movies. Putting those two things together is the heart of THE REWIND PROJECT.
Every year, Ally & Eric pick 28 movies - seven from 10 years ago, seven from 25 years ago, seven from 50 years ago, and a final batch of seven from 75 years ago -- and they talk about them. In these conversations, they discover some really great films, but they also start to pick up on how the world has changed since then, and how sometimes old movies are timeless, and sometimes they were great in their day but haven’t aged so well.
