Greetings, House Fam!!
Happy Anniversary!!! Thank you for tuning in! It is hard to believe we have hit the 8-year mark of this wonderful journey! It feels like yesterday when Katea Stitt reached out to me with the green light to finally give Soulful House music its spotlight on WPFW. I immediately notified Sam 'The Man' Burns and Derrick 'D-Train' Coleman; the rest is history! Over the years we have enjoyed sharing the airspace, bringing a program unlike any other to the airwaves of Washington DC and worldwide. We have been blessed with guest spots from countless brothas and sistahs in the beat, sharing and shining the spotlight on our surviving and thriving scene. The community experience was created!

Fast forward to 2024, and we continue to reflect. We reflect on the legacy of Sam 'The Man' Burns, Lisa Moody, and many others who have transitioned. This show is dedicated to them. We celebrate upcoming events such as the Capital House Music Festival, Deep Sugar, House On the Waterfront, and many other thriving events that continue to evolve. We continue to think outside the box as our venue real estate continues to change, remembering that at the end of the day, it is all about the music and the vibe it creates. Therefore, it doesn't matter where we drop the beat, the dancers will come!
