The glowmedia project

The glowmedia project Founded in 2016 by Trish Glowacki, a parent who recognized the need for more and better mental health

Through informative and entertaining short films and accompanying materials, glow media will educate youths, their families, and educators, in an effort to reduce stigma, correct misconceptions, and reinforce the reality that mental health affects everyone.

Our hearts go out to everyone impacted by the devastating wildfires sweeping across Los Angeles. We stand in solidarity with the individuals and families affected, and we are profoundly grateful to the first responders risking their lives to protect our communities, pets, and homes.

During this challenging time, your safety is paramount. Please stay informed, follow evacuation orders, and heed the advice of public officials to protect yourself and your loved ones.

Beyond the immediate physical dangers, wildfires can take a significant toll on mental health, triggering stress, anxiety, and trauma. It’s vital to address these emotional challenges as part of recovery.

✨ You're not alone. NAMI Westside Los Angeles is here to support you with:

Free support groups for those managing mental health conditions and their loved ones.
Resources to help process the emotional aftermath of natural disasters.
If you or someone you know needs help:
📞 Call 988 for mental health crises.
🚨 Call 911 for urgent emergencies.
💬 Text NAMI to 741741 to connect with the Crisis Text Line.

Together, we can face this crisis with resilience, compassion, and community support. Stay safe, and remember: It’s okay to ask for help. 💙
