Moorish World TV and Host Taharka Bey Accused of False Advertising, Name Change Demanded

Mr. Bey has upset some Moorish Americans over the years because he has a style of show where he critiques other individuals and organizations and outlines there shortcomings, from his point of view. Most recently he critiqued Minister Louis Farrakhan and Elijah Muhammad for their connections to Masonry, going as far as questioning whether they were "hiding light" from the people and referring to them as "gatekeepers". In the past Mr. Bey has taken a strong stance against Masonry and the Shriner fraternity.

"Taharka Bey has a right to free speech and the right to critique whoever he likes, but there is a point in time where he may find himself under the same critiques that he has for others."

The sighting of the New Moon is symbolic for New Beginnings

The new moon is a lunar phase and considered a more introspective time and represents new beginnings as we plant seeds for the future.

It's a good time to set clear intentions for the month ahead, clarify your goals, start new projects, and acknowledge your growth since the previous new moon.

The Legacy of the 15th Consecrated Bishop of the AME Zion Church continues through his publishing house the Lunar Visitor which recently published a children’s fantasy book authored by his great grandson!

The book tells the story of Paddy Paws, a green cat on a mission. To prove he is ready for the great task of walking the young Red auks from the island’s grove back to the shore, he has to first go and bring back emerald squash seeds from another island. He carries out the task successfully with the aid of his new animal friends. He also discovers his love for raw cookie dough.

A while after his return, he began the main task of walking the auk, Roe-To, safely to shore. A few days away from the shore, he meets Flec, a lone wolf who followed his trail to catch and killRoe-To (to prove himself worthy to be the next leader of the pack). Paddy, the obsessively clean cat, manages to first call a truce with the wolf, and then eventually getting him to agree to not kill Roe-To.

Roe-To, Paddy and other animals safely make it to the shore and hand the young auks back to their parents. As the auks and their parents depart, another wolf vying for the position of the leader of the pack leads the other wolves to attack, but the attack is quickly stopped by the brown cats guarding the auks.

It ends with Vent, a fisherman whose greed had brought him to the black island, deciding to keep the existence of the green cats and all he had seen happen at the shore a secret just like Ham, his teacher.

2024 Elections for AME Zion Church Bishop Highlight the Significance of the Role and the Room for Corruption

2024 is a big year for elections! Not only will U.S. citizens cast their vote for the President of Unites States, but also members of the AME Zion Church will vote for new Bishops of the Denomination. Candidates have already begun campaigning to influence church members.

The AME Zion Church has over one million members, church homes that span the continental United States, as well as church homes on the African Continent. The title and role of “Bishop” holds tremendous authority and responsibility, both physically and spiritually. Unlike the President of the United States, Bishops hold a spiritual responsibility to not only church members, but to God himself! Bishops are responsible for assigning Pastors to churches and determining the overall direction of the denomination.

The Rich and Powerful History of the Legendary AME Zion church was officially formed in 1821, motivated by the racist practices of European Methodist Episcopalians who treated Black/ African partitioners as second class citizens in the kingdom of God!

Just a few years up from slavery, our forefathers and foremothers fled into their own congregations eventually calling their church the AME Zion Church. It would later be known as the ‘Freedom Church’.

The history was captured in the timeless book “History of the A. M. E. Zion Church in America.
Founded in 1796, In the City of New York”, written by the 15th consecrated Bishop, John Jamison Moore, with the permission of the Bishops , published and registered in the Library of Congress in 1884.

Honor they Fathers and Mothers: The Paul Robeson Family & Their Surprising History Members of the AME Zion Church

Paul Robeson was a famous African-American athlete, singer, actor, and advocate for the civil rights who spent most of his life fighting injustice, for which he was persecuted for. He became famous both for his cultural accomplishments and for his political stances.

After 1950 when the U.S. government revoked Paul Robeson's passport in addition to his wife Eslanda and colleague W.E.B. DuBois, Robeson was blacklisted from TV and radio appearances, and Robeson's monthly periodical Freedom was published.

Nicodemus is a town of just over 20 people in Graham County, Kansas. But this small town has a lot to boast about. Founded in 1877 by a group of seven Kansans, six of whom were African Americans, Nicodemus is the state's oldest and only remaining black settlement West of the Mississippi River. The town started by attracting settlers from Eastern Kansas and Kentucky, bringing the total population to 600 by 1878.

By late 1879 more settlers arrived from Kentucky and Mississippi with the tools required to farm the land and build a community. This led to the growth and prosperity of Nicodemus.

Will the Real Donald Trump Please Stand Up? Donald Trump and Black America

Donald Trump has been in the public eye for decades, and during that time, he's cultivated a mixed reputation within the African American community. While on one hand, he has helped the community by pledging support to historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) and offering clemency to people who were unfairly convicted of crimes, on the other hand, he has regularly made disparaging comments about Black people and other groups who are often marginalized in society.

Montgomery County Maryland Board of Education Doubles Down on LGBTQ Curriculum- Written testimony for MOCO School Board Meeting from
Michael Rosenberg-

“I am well aware that there are people today who either actively embrace transgender ideology or think it’s not harmful and so have no problem with schools introducing this ideology as in MOCO school system.

I am also aware that no one should be bullied for their beliefs. However, there are as many, if not more, parents who still believe in traditional Judean /Christian values as taught in the bible, that these values and beliefs are diametrically opposed to genderfluid ideology, and do not approve of it’s teaching in the MOCO elementary school system.”

Lindsey Smith - Testimony before Board of Education 1/12/2023- In 2nd grade, for example, for this new benchmark curriculum, the book “My Rainbow" is being introduced to the students. The description that you provide to parents hides the true subject matter of the book, which is about an autistic girl wanting to declare that she is transgender. It pushes the transgender ideology throughout the whole book.”

Moms of Liberty Organize against LGBTQ Books in Montgomery County Maryland Elementary Schools
Lindsey Smith - Testimony before Board of Education 1/12/2023

“I am here today from Moms of Liberty, as a voice for parents, grandparents, families and teachers. Many of them are working and unable to attend today. But these people are coming together because you have chosen to push the parents out of their child’s classroom and, in doing so, you have overstepped your bounds as educators. Parents in my community are frustrated. They are finding out that educators and administrators are going behind what they are teaching their kids at home and pushing ideas of gender ideology on their kids instead of educating them in the traditional areas of study in which teachers are trained.

In 2nd grade, for example, for this new benchmark curriculum, the book “My Rainbow" is being introduced to the students. The description that you provide to parents hides the true subject matter of the book, which is about an autistic girl wanting to declare that she is transgender. It pushes the transgender ideology throughout the whole book.”
