1. Pink was NOT her favorite color. The color for the packaging was chosen (mountain laurel) because it would stand out in the popular all-white bathrooms in the 60's.
2. The pink Cadillac was ALMOST a Lincoln π²! In the 60's, it was uncommon for a woman to try to buy a car without her husband. The man at the Lincoln dealership told her to bring her husband with her and then they'd look at the paperwork...so she walked across the street to the Caddy Dealership and the rest is history! *
3. Mary Kay has the largest fleet of company vehicles on the road in the ENTIRE WORLD! They range from Chevrolet, Range Rover, Cadillac, Mazda, Mini Cooper, Volkswagen, Ford, and Mercedes. 4. Mary Kay has a ZERO LANDFILL STATUS and has planted over ONE MILLION trees. PinkDoingGreen. Our packing peanuts are also biodegradable. (they dissolve in water).
5. The Mary Kay Ash Foundation is an organization that donates to women's shelters across the nation & around the world to help women affected by domestic violence and also donates to research fighting cancers affecting women. (over $26 million in cancer research funds and $56 million to support over 6 million women & children seeking shelter & services free from abuse).
6. Unlike other beauty companies, Mary Kay DOESN'T test on animals. In fact, we were one of the leading companies to start this initiative and recently helped China to change their testing laws.
7.Mary Kay is now the #1 Skin Care and Color Cosmetic company across the world in the direct selling industry, (We are presently in 37 countries.
