Tender duck meat with the delicious flavors of cinnamon bark with star anise and vegetables like carrots and potatoes. This braised duck looks fancy and is very easy to prepare.
π₯ Ingredients:
2kg~3kg for A Duck π¦
1/2 cup White wine
1/2 cup Soy sauce
4 tsp Salt
6 tsp Pepper
50g Ginger
100g Lemongrass
300ml Beer
8g Cinnamon bark,
8g Star anise
A little of sliced Lemon
25g Scallion
20ml Oil
2 tsp Annatto Powder
1 tbs Sugar
20g Dry onion
2g Thyme leaves
15ml Honey
100g Carrot, rough chopped
200g Potato, rough chopped
10g Culantro
3 Chili
300ml Coconut water
π₯ Instructions:
1. Getting rid of ducky smell from duck, you need to marinate duck with 1/2 cup white wine, 50g ginger and season with 4 tsp salt, 4 tsp pepper, 1/2 cup soy sauce and then apply evenly outside and inside the duck.
2. Steam the duck for 30 mins with 100g lemongrass, 6g cinnamon bark and star anise, some lemon sliced, 20g scallion and finally indispensable 300ml beer because beer help duck meat become soft and sweet more.
3. Now you need make the sauce to spread on duck before sautΓ© the duck. You need mix ingredients as follow: 20ml oil, 2 tsp annatto powder, 2 tsp pepper, 1tbs sugar, 2g cinnamon bark, 2g star anise, 20g dry onion, 2g thyme leaves, 15ml honey. And spread evenly the sauce outside the duck and saute the duct until two side are golden brown.
4. Continue put the duck into the cooking pot and add 200m ml coconut water, 100g rough chopped carrot, 200g rought chopped potatoes, 10g culantro, 5g cuted scallion, 6g cinnamon bark and star anise, 3 chili and turn on the heat. You need simmer for 20 mins.
