Let’s talk about making a budget.

When you first get engaged, you want to make sure to talk to your significant other, parents, whoever may be contributing funds to the wedding. Figure out what your budget it is for the entire wedding. From there, you can decide how much you should spend on the venue, food, etc. Based on your budget for the entire wedding, you can figure out how much you can spend on each separate aspect of the wedding.

If you don’t set a budget, you’ll end up spending way more than you were hoping. Trust me. 😉

What the heck is the 30/5 rule Mackenzie?!

This means things that take 5 minutes on a normal day will take at least 30 minutes on your wedding day.

Always give yourself more time than you think you need on your wedding day. Even if you don’t have a coordinator, create a timeline so you have a rough idea of when you should be ready for each part of your day.
