We checked labs yesterday and Shaylynn’s AnC has increased but only to 500. Chemotherapy still on hold. Prayers she recovers over the next week as we will retest next monday. As for now we will enjoy our overdue vacation!

We are back from travels to Children’s Mercy and Shaylynn’s chemo is still on hold. Shaylynn has fully recovered from Covid except her AnC. AnC was only 170 today but other counts look great. Will repeat labs next Monday and hope this goes up. Shaylynn can continue to go to school but will have to wear mask which she hates but understands. Prayers for count recovery.

This poor girl is under the weather. Tested positive for Covid and rhinovirus yesterday. ANC plummeted to 140 so chemotherapy on hold. Please pray fevers stay away and she continues to rest.

Today was our Kansas City trip and shaylynn is still doing good. Shaylynn had LP with intrathecal methotrexate and labs. Her AnC has dipped down to 790 but she is not neutropenic. We have adjust a couple medications and will be back in one month. 🙌 we truly believe we have come this far from everyone’s prayers for our girl. Thank you all that continue to follow her journey.

Another concert…Shaylynn got to see Jelly Roll tonight. He was great in concert and we took sidney (Shaylynn’s cousin) for her first concert experience. These girls had a blast. Making memories! Love love that she wants to see as many concerts as possible as I love concerts too. And special thanks to Sidney’s mom and dad Jason Honeycutt for letting her go on a school night.

We had the annual WAGS golf tournament today which was awesome. This tournament is Carl Junction supports one person with cancer yearly and with cost for care in these situations I can tell you every penny counts. We were happy to be there to support Tate this year and be a returning receiptiant. So crazy to think this time last year we were wheelchair bound. Man what a year! Thank you to all that continue to support us and help with the fight of leukemia.

Shaylynn had the time of her life tonight thank you to Baker-Spain Stampede. Shaylynn got tickets to see Gary Allan in concert cert and do a meet & greet prior. We had a great night enjoying his concert and he is still one of my all time favorites so bonus for mom! Thank you to Josh and Jordan Spain who made this happen.

We met some wonderful people at the concert but this beautiful soul bought Shaylynn a signed poster from Alan Jackson and 2 hats. Brought this momma to tears. There are kind people out there! Thank you for making this girls night.

Time to have fun. Shaylynn is an old soul (actually both of our girls are) and she wanted to see Alan Jackson so here we are.

We have officially started maintenance chemotherapy. Shaylynn had LP with intrathecal methotrexate, vincristine IV and we picked up prescriptions for oral chemotherapy. We are now down to monthly appointments with end month being January 2026. Shaylynn continues to be a fighter and has been enjoying riding her horse and playing with her friends.

Shaylynn has finished her immunotherapy. No more backpack. She can run and play at school. Yay!! She is so excited. Since starting back to school she has been very tired but we are just trying to let her rest when she feels like it and build back stamina. Shaylynn amazes us daily as she tries to conquer more. We will return to Kansas City next Monday for LP with intrathecal methotrexate and start maintenance (oral) chemotherapy. She will be on this until January 2026. 🙌

Great trip to Kansas City. Re accessed and de accessed port and new bags of Blina started. Only one week left! 🙌 had a little Cheesecake Factory and shopping with aunt Lizzie.

🙌 we are getting our sass back! This girl has been dancing and singing since she returned back to school. Favorite songs to sing is “the ride” from David Allen Coe and “Family Tradition” from Hank Williams Jr. Shaylynn definitely has her daddy’s moves!!!

Quick trip made to Kansas City. Shaylynn got her port deaccessed and reaccessed, new bag of blina started, and labs drawn. We are now headed home. Hope everyone has a great holiday today.

This girl has been worn out after school but has been having the best time. She had popped out of her bubble and talking to friends again. It’s was so hard to see her struggle not being around people and friends but now we won’t be able to hold her back. The sky is the limit for this girl. We love you shaylynn!!
