Vaidehi says, "My very first inspiration to live and thrive came from my parents! My mom who literally served as ‘windows’ to my soul and dad who guided me at every step, had
together infused me with values and knowledge from various domains including
Science and Music, Philosophy and so much more, including the setting of a lofty vision and mission in life. Dad was the ‘Scientist’ I knew from close quarters, right from my infant days! Hailing from an Electronics background, (and assembling the best of Radio Sets in town (during his leisure-hobby hours), he scaled up his career rungs to hold a Senior Scientist’s post with Government of India. He had, as part of the GOI Team, brought in the Game changer “Mobile” technology, through the first ever ‘Motorola’ phone launched in India! My Mom who was part of the Madras Social Work Board, was my teacher, friend, philosopher and guide and ensured all that it took to groom me and my two brothers with the best of values, grit, courage and conviction to thrive, and make progress in life, irrespective of circumstances encountered. She was herself, a great example. My creative streaks in poetry, singing writing, cooking or handicrafts had all flown into me from her! Besides my ‘Home-Sweet-Home’ I was always inspired beyond measure, by Nature, which includes Greenery, Mountains & Water bodies, own inner faculties, my intuitive thoughts and inclined towards almost anything and everything that is of ‘Natural Origin’.
With this kind of a background and with whatever resources and facilities I had access to, I can say with smug satisfaction, that I managed to make the most of Happiness, Health, Prosperity and Peace in life, for which I am mighty Grateful to the Universe".

"Gurjeet told me that her marriage was only a year old, yet her relationship with her husband, Satwant, was already at the breaking point. She complained that he had started neglecting her daily needs, and that he had now begun asking her to get money from her father. His lifestyle was wayward, and he was beginning to get violent with her. She even suspected that he was stealing money from his mother’s cupboard. The last straw came the previous evening, when she discovered that her jewellery was missing. Gurjeet was convinced that her husband was responsible for its disappearance.
After persistent questioning by Gurjeet, Satwant confessed that the family business was in shambles and he was under an enormous mountain of debt. Nilutpal says, "Historical fiction was never my forte. I was happily writing dark and scary stuff everywhere. Horror, thrill, mystery is what interests me. But, being an Ahom descendant, this is one book which I had to write. It all happened a year back when I was travelling to North Guwahati for some official work. While travelling through the Guwahati Bypass road, my eyes caught a signboard. It said, 'Lachit Garh Madhya Uccha Engraji Vidyalay (Lachit Garh Middle/High English school)'.
I tried to locate a Garh (rampart) nearby but it was all even land. Though the school was at an elevated ground, there was nothing seemingly significant around it to notify about the historical importance of the place. I, too, was ignorant of the relevance of the place. It got me thinking. When I returned home, I went through all the information that was available on the internet related to Lachit Borphukan. The information intrigued me. Though I had read about the 'Battle of Saraighat' during my preparation for the Civil Services, it was only on that day, I came to know of the incredible efforts of the Ahom Army under their able General 'Lachit Borphukan.' The idea of a book struck me at once."

The Cosmic Journey Of The Tree
"Sadly leaned the tree,
shorn of its leaves that gave it glory,
her branches broken n bent,
her roots protruding from the earth for all to see.
tears rolled down my eyes,
for her pain couldn't be seen.
she once stood tall,
her canopy sheltered all,
my heart bled silently.
How i wished to see again,
the dimensions of the tree.
In the storm she swayed,
braved the storm and gales,
shattered but with unbroken spirit,
she survived to bloom and branch again,
tall she stood,
her leaves fresh n green,
with branches sturdy and strong again,
roots in the earth, deep below the surface,
she bloomed n flowered,
bright and cheerful,
kissed by sunshine,
spreading love and joy for all to feel,
back from her cosmic journey to connect with thee,
she, blessed by the Goddess of the trees."
