Downtown Snow Removal Notice

Snow removal in the Downtown Business District will take place on Sunday, February 9, 2025 as follows:

• Street, sidewalk, and parking lot snow clearing and removal will commence at
3:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025.
• Beginning at 3:00 a.m. on Sunday, February 9, 2025, parking will be banned
on the following streets:
o Front Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
o Laurel Street from South 6th Street to South 8th Street
o South 7th Street from Maple Street to Front Street
Please arrange to relocate your vehicles off-street to allow for snow removal.

Generally, the snow removal on Sunday will take place beginning on the streets and sidewalks first, followed by the parking lots.

Parking is banned on streets until they have been plowed in their entirety and the snow has been removed. Once snow has been removed from the block, vehicles can utilize the on-street parking. All vehicles parked during this restriction will be ticketed and towed at the Owner’s expense.

Snow moves in tonight through tomorrow, with highest accumulations in northwestern Minnesota. Winds increase Thursday across the Devils Lake Basin and Red River Valley. Wind gusts up to 45mph will be possible along with blowing and drifting snow reducing visibilities to a half mile or less.
