Meet Ashley Baxter, a former pro waterwoman whose life took a sharp turn after a career-ending injury. Now based in Pukalani, she’s behind Love Winslow, a sustainable bag brand repurposing materials like vintage Levi’s, curtains, and even car seats into custom creations.

With her mom’s sewing skills and a passion for upcycling, Ashley’s crafting more than bags—she’s creating stories of resilience and sustainability.

Wave heights along north facing shores are expected to exceed 40 feet today.

Conditions are lining up perfectly for the Eddie Aikau Invitational, a prestigious big wave competition held at Waimea Bay on Oahu. For this contest to run, wave heights must be larger than 40 feet for the duration of the day. These conditions don’t happen often. Today will be only the 11th time the contest has taken place since its inception in 1984.

On Maui, you can likely find surfers tackling big waves today at Honolua Bay and Peahi, also known as “Jaws.”

We had the pleasure of flying with to check out the surf from above at Jaws recently - huge mahalo! captured these incredible shots.

🚨 Many beaches around Maui will be dangerous today. Very few beaches will be safe for snorkeling or inexperienced swimmers. For spectators, the road to Jaws requires 4x4 and is not suitable for low-clearance cars. 🚨

Good luck to the Maui surfers in the Eddie today!
