***INVESTIGATION UPDATE***

The below information is an update to a news release published on 7/16/24 regarding a Catholic Priest Serial Sexual Assault Investigation.

A bond hearing took place for Anthony Odiong on November 26, 2024, a Catholic Priest currently in jail on 3 grand jury indictments of sexual assault and one pending potential indictment of possession of child po*******hy.

During the bond hearing prosecuting attorneys presented laboratory DNA evidence showing Anthony Odiong with a certainty of >99.99% as the biological father of offspring who was created as a direct result of the sexual assault Anthony Odiong committed against a known survivor. The bond, before this hearing, was set at $5.5 million. After the hearing, the bond reduction request was denied and will stay at $5.5 million.

In March of this year, an investigation began into Anthony Odiong after a credible report was filed for a possible sexual assault in 2012. This investigation has since identified 9 survivors of Anthony Odiong's abuse. Additionally, two positive identifications to offspring have been made with additional offspring possibly yet to be confirmed. An investigation into potential financial crimes has also begun.

Odiong is currently at the McLennan County Jail when he was extradited from Ave Maria, Florida for his arrest on July 16, 2024. This investigation is ongoing.

3 Charged in Liam Payne's Death, Including Hotel Employee

Buenos Aires, Argentina

3 people have been arrested and charged in connection with Liam Payne's death on October 16, authorities announced. The suspects have not been named by authorities.

The suspects are charged with abandonment of a person followed by death as well as supply and facilitation of narcotics, Argentina's National Criminal and Correctional Prosecutor’s Office said in a November 7 press release.

The One Direction star died after falling from a 3rd-floor hotel balcony in Buenos Aires.

According to the release, “Payne was not fully conscious or was experiencing a state of noticeable decrease or loss of consciousness at the time of the fall.”

After Payne fell from the balcony and died, illicit conduct was discovered from which 3 people were charged with the crimes, the release said.

Authorities conducted 9 raids this week, the release says.

One of the suspects is the person who accompanied Payne on a daily basis during his stay in the city of Buenos Aires. A second suspect is a hotel employee accused of supplying Payne with co***ne, and a third is an alleged drug supplier.

According to the release, prosecutors have attempted to reconstruct the days in which Payne was staying at the 'Casa Sur' hotel on Costa Rica Street in Buenos Aires between October 13 and 16.

The release from authorities states that in the moments before his death and in the period of at least his last 72 hours, Payne only had traces of polydrug use of alcohol, co***ne and a prescription antidepressant in his body.
